2 of my most decorated juniors fly out to Bangkok next week to compete in the WBC games. Over 50 fights between them. Train 5/6 times a week. Gutted I can’t be with them this time, but are under the watchful eye of some of the best coaches on the planet.

2 of the most dedicated kids I’ve ever seen. Always help with the kids classes. Living the dream at only 14 years old!! We produce time and time again. All over the uk, Europe and now the world.

Alfie wins WMF junior title against the sensational Oliver from Valley. Oliver’s sweeps were causing problems but Alfie’s clinch and knees sealed the win.

I’m so happy for this boy, he’s had his fair share of losses but is on an incredible run of performances now. Hard work and dedication to the sport, the results come. Well done young man. We go again in 4 weeks.

Tough one tonight. in a back and fourth fight vs Kyle Kinsey. Charlie scored really well with solid bodykicks. Kyle was strong in clinch. It came down to round 5. Charlie started well, but got caught with a head kick and had an 8 count. Regardless, powered through.

We gave away a bit of weight, Charlie had a heavy injury but powered through. I was going to pull the fight 3 weeks ago, but thought we could work around it. It was a really entertaining fight regardless. Nothing taken away from Kyle’s performance.

We go again in 6 weeks.

An update to our timetable!!

We have now added an advanced class to members On a Wednesday night.

6pm basics
7pm advanced.

There will be no adults Muay Thai On a Thursday evening. Members are free to use the gym to get the extra pads/sparring they need or book a 121 with our coaching team.

We also have class Thursdays 6pm. For an additional £20 a month, we have a full timetable for members to take advantage of!

Years ago this was only a dream 💭

It was always a goal of mine from the minute I put On a set of gloves, every class, every interclub, every fight would lead me to running a successful gym.

I’ve put in my years of craft. Blood sweat and tears, fought the best the uk has to offer in my division, trained with some of the best coaches/fighters in the world. Taken skills and kept learning, all for it to develop Chang Muay Thai.

There’s been the best highs and the lowest lows, but each year we grow, producing champion after champion. We’ve produced world champion juniors, and A class fighters. It’s not chance, it’s dedication.

I don’t claim to be the best, but if there’s something I don’t know, I WILL step back, study it, practice it and teach.

Shows and interclubs every week, it’s demanding, weekends away for the family, long drives, flights, hotels, but I wouldn’t change this for the world.

Muay Thai has given me everything. My career, my family, and a secure lifestyle for my girls to grow up and hopefully learn too!

Not too bad for a lad that did “ok” in school and got stuck in the hospitality industry for so long!!

Now running a busy Muay Thai gym and a growing strength and conditioning gym with an amazing team beside me with the backing of my amazing wife

Work hard and reap the rewards.
