What leading from the front looks like

Henry Eadie | Online Coach came to me end of October last year with two goals.

Level up his physique. Level up his coaching business.

8 months later, both ticked off.

We started with a 4 month gaining phase, 167lbs up to 186lbs. Then straight into 13 weeks of prep for the .physiques team shoot.

Not one single beat missed. Best condition of his life. Job done.

But the physique is almost secondary here.

What Henry’s done with his coaching business in the same timeframe is the real win for me. Achieving elite results with his team, scaling, and already walking the walk his clients need to see.

And on top of all of that, a friend for life.

That’s the bit nobody tells you about coaching. Yes the transformations are unreal and yes the impact is what we’re working towards.

But the relationships you build along the way, that’s the stuff that really means something.

Proud of you mate, this is just the start ❤️

Every breakthrough I’ve had came from a coach

Not one exception.

Growing up in rugby I had people in my corner who saw things in me I couldn’t see in myself. Who pushed me past the limits I’d already accepted.

I don’t make it professional without them. Simple as that.

When I went all in on the business, first thing I did was invest in a mentor.

When I retired from rugby, first thing I did was get a physique coach.

Same reason every time.

You cannot see your own blind spots.

If you’re trying to get somewhere you’ve never been, you don’t figure it out alone.

2.5 weeks out - update 👇🏼

Cardio/expenditure:

12k steps

Another 1kg dropped from last week, 11kg down now since the start of prep just under 14 weeks ago.

Cals dropped from the previous week and cardio upped. Hammer and chisel certainly out now.

Fatigue creeping up now, biggest sign for me with this is my total sleep time dropping. Whoop starting to not be my friend with my recovery scores, but when pushing for the condition I want it, it never is going to be.

Although fitness trackers are an exceptional tool, there comes a time with certain goals where you need to not get sucked into the data too much. There comes a time where you need to grit down regardless of how you feel or more commonly how you think you feel - there is always more in the tank, always 🫡

18 months apart. Same man. Completely different person.

Genuinely one of the best transformations I’ve ever seen.

If you’d told Gareth at the start he’d be stood on a photoshoot, top off, in the shape of his life, he’d have laughed you out the room.

Solicitor, busy family man, and someone who didn’t like taking his top off. He’d felt like he’d tried everything and nothing had worked.

18 months later he’s stood on a photoshoot, in the shape of his life, with a confidence you can see from a mile off.

The physical progress is phenomenal. But anyone who knows Gareth knows that’s not the real story here.

The man who once avoided his shirt coming off on holiday is now stood in front of a camera owning every second of it. That shift doesn’t come from a just a diet plan. It comes from 18 months of showing up, doing what he said he was going to do, and proving to himself what he’s actually capable of.

It takes something special to do what he’s done. And Gareth has got it in abundance. And it couldn’t have happened to a better bloke. Genuinely one of the best and absolute pleasure to coach.

Next chapter already mapped out. Sub 3:30 marathon on the radar. He’s not stopping here.

This is what unleashing full potential looks like.
