Well, in a turn up for the books, and despite all the communication that we had had with the leisure centre previously for 4 days. This has just been posted.
And a phone call to the leisure centre has confirmed that tonights session is indeed BACK ON!
I am looking forward to finding out properly just how it can go from - not on and sunday is also dodgy - to back on in the space of 4 hours.
However, good news is we are back on tonight.
Sorry for the confused messages - we have posted as per the communications from the leisure centre.

We’re pleased to let you know that our main pool will reopen this evening at 9pm for the adult swim. 🎉

Our small pool will reopen tomorrow morning, ready for swimming lessons to go ahead as planned. 🏊‍♀️💦

Dear Members

Update on pool.

We have spoken to the leisure centre management late last night and again this morning.

Despite the engineer being at the pool yesterday, and i understand today, the issue with the pool heating has not been fixed.

Even if that was to be fixed today (which is doubtful apparently), the volume of water to be heated (circa 360m3 of water) would not be anywhere near warm enough for us to permit swimming or indeed to meet Swim England guidelines for pool temperature.

Therefore, we are afraid we have no option but to cancel tonights session and training.

We will continue to stay in communication with the Leisure Centre on progress and keep you informed.

We would like to apologise for the need to cancel the session.

UPDATE: on pool issue.
Engineer on site as we speak.
Issue not yet resolved.
Will update me at then end of the day - i will pass on any further info i have then.
Sorry for the issue - keen to keep you all realtime informed.

Dear Members,

Some of you would have seen in the local press that the swimming pool at Burntwood has been closed this weekend.

I have spoken to the leisure centre staff and was told on sunday that the pool is failing to hold its temperature, and is currently at 24 degrees. Too cold for us to swim.

I am awaiting a call today from them in way of an update. They were hoping to get an engineer over the weekend - however i think they may have struggled with it being Bank Holiday.
I will keep you posted as soon as i have any update from the leisure centre.
