Just back from a trip to Amsterdam 🇳🇱💕

I’ve always loved strength training, but in my 40s, I appreciate the daily benefits even more.

This little one managed a LOT of walking… until she didn’t 😂

So there I was, carrying my 4-year-old and a heavy rucksack.

And I thought about how often my mum clients say:

“But I don’t have any upper body strength.”

YES. YOU. DO. 😂💪🏼

I’m definitely feeling it today after all that walking 😂, but no sore back, just a very tired body that did a lot yesterday.

That's what I love about strength training.

It’s not just about what you can lift in the gym. It’s about feeling strong and capable in everyday life. 🩷

If you’ve been thinking about getting into strength training, I’ve got a new group PT block starting soon, and I also teach 4 strength classes each week.

If you’re not sure where to start, drop me a message 💪🏼

Why I love being a Fitness Lead ✨

As a mum of five, I understand how easy it is to put ourselves last. Life gets busy, there’s always another job to do, something to clean, something to organise. Before we know it, everyone else comes first.

Losing my mum to cancer at 60 made me realise just how precious our health is. She worked hard, always looked after everyone else and, like many of us, finding time for herself wasn’t always a priority.

That’s why my message is simple…

The housework can wait.
Make time for the walk.
Book the class.
Move your body.
Take care of yourself.

Because you are worth the time. 🩷

My favourite part of being a Fitness Lead is seeing people of all ages walk through our doors, challenge themselves and realise what they’re capable of.

Movement really is medicine. That’s why I’ll always encourage people to make time for exercise. Looking after yourself isn’t selfish — it’s what allows you to keep showing up for the people you love. 💙

Sunday run 🏃‍♀️

It’s been a while since I’ve posted, so I thought I’d share a little update.

This year, with starting my new role, I didn’t want to put any pressure on myself with fitness goals or posting on here. However, I do enjoy sharing little bits of my journey, and I think it’s just as important to share the challenges as the wins because that’s what makes us relatable.

Lately, I’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed, which doesn’t happen very often. When it does, it really makes me miss having my mum or dad to call for a chat.

After spending a week feeling a little sorry for myself, I stopped and asked myself, "What would you say to one of your clients?" So, after a wee pep talk from Coach Cheryl, I started practising what I preach—and I’ve been feeling so much better.

A little reminder for anyone who needs it today: you don’t have to feel motivated to move. Often, it’s the movement that creates the motivation. Even a short walk or a quick workout can make such a difference to your mood. 🧡

Feeling good at 40 💪✨

Starting strength training has been one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. It’s not just about getting stronger physically — it’s about confidence, energy, and feeling the best version of yourself.

I love sharing that passion with others.

My new Strength Class starts this morning at Mind & Body – 9:30am.

Perfect for mums after the school run and suitable for all levels.

If you’ve been thinking about starting, this is your sign 💙

Did a photoshoot last week to celebrate turning 40 and feeling strong ✨

I didn’t announce it.
I didn’t diet for it.
I didn’t “prep” for weeks.

I’m a busy working mum who believes in balance. I train because I love feeling strong. I eat well most of the time — and I also enjoy good food with my family.

I nearly didn’t share this.
Social media is full of shredded bodies, strict plans, and perfectly timed photos — but not always the truth about the exhaustion, restriction, or how miserable some people feel behind the scenes.

I want strength that enhances my life — not consumes it.
And that’s exactly how I coach. ✨

New job, new chapter ✨

Same, but different!

Back teaching fitness classes again, and it was amazing to see some familiar faces from years ago — so nice catching up. I have really missed this!

Personal training and online coaching will continue to be what I do most, but I’m loving the variety and having so many supportive faces at the studio as I settle into my new role.

The studio is a beautiful space and super handy if you’re in Kirkcaldy, Kinghorn, or Burntisland.

If you need support with your goals, I’ve created a 6-week package that includes 2 weekly classes, online coaching, and full access to the app. It’s ideal if you’re looking to drop body fat or work towards a specific goal.

Any questions at all — message me 💙

First week as Fitness Lead 🎉

Wow… what a first week!

I’ll be honest, I was pretty nervous on Saturday morning before the launch. It’s been years since I last taught a class! But walking into a full room was honestly a dream, and the feedback has been fantastic.

I’m so excited to help more of you transform, feel stronger, and experience the real benefits of strength training.

Over the past year, I kept feeling like I needed a change. I wasn’t sure what that would look like, but this already feels so right.

Next week is looking very busy, so if you’d like to get involved, keep an eye on the socials, or drop me a message if you’d like help choosing what will best suit you and your goals.

Let’s go 💙💪

First day at Mind and Body Studio 💙

Loved it! I only met some of the team for the first time a few weeks ago at the Christmas night out, but I already feel like I’ve known them forever.

Four PT sessions and lots of exciting planning filled my first day. It was so lovely to see my PT clients and ease them back in before things get serious next week with the new kit! 😅

Our launch day is on Saturday, and we’d love to have you along! There are only two spaces left for my Strength Taster Session.

You can check out the full launch day schedule on the GymCatch app – a great opportunity to try some different classes.

First run of the year 😝
Been psyching myself up for a few days 🤣

Had some random thoughts on my run that I wanted to share…

The older I get, the more grateful I am for the small things — like a car stopping so I don’t have to stop running 🏃‍♀️‍➡️

Clients returning really means a lot to me. I always want people to know they’re welcome back anytime 🤍

“We can do hard things” — a mantra I often repeat to myself when I need it.

And finally, I’m so grateful to have found the right workplace.

I’ll be checking in with all clients tomorrow with details for next week. 💙

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I love strength training. As many of you know, I’m starting my new role as Fitness Lead at Mind & Body, and after years of focusing solely on PT, I’ll be back teaching some classes from 12th January.

I wanted to create classes that focus on what I truly believe people need:
• Upper body strength
• Full body strength
• Lower body strength

You can mix and match to suit your week — upper and lower to hit all muscle groups, full body if you’re short on time, or all three if you want more. Simple, effective, and built around getting stronger.

And because so many of you have asked… Metafit is coming back 🔥 The kind of workout you’re never realistically going to push yourself through on your own — but in a class environment? Total game changer.

If you love weights (or want to learn to), get booked in! You can book your spot now on the Mind & Body Studio website via GymCatch!
