Kudos started where there left off, a hat trick from Spencer Cunniff crowned off the ideal start to the season. Sabden took to life in the top division with a good win against Inn on the Wharf and Belvedere edged out Globe FC in a very entertaining 11 goal thriller.

A convincing win from Oldband (formerly Park View Clarets) following on from their promotion last season, 11 goals shared across 9 players!Two closely contested games ended in stalemates and Peel Park started with a win against former premier division side Pendle Blues

Contrasting starts for the new teams in the league. Todmorden really laid down a marker with a big win against Oswaldtwistle, hat tricks from Aiden Stansfield and Callum Wheeler. Despite beating AFC Burnley in preseason, Brierfield Celtic suffered defeat in their first league game and Turf FC lost out to the Royal Dyche in the clash of the Culvert largely thanks to 4 goals from Josh Westwell. A strongly fancied FC Globe got off to a winning start against Mavericks.

🚨🚨🚨 CALLING ALL REFEREE'S 🚨🚨🚨

As the league continues to grow, the need for referee's each Sunday is becoming more challenging

If you know of any referee's who would be interested in joining the league, please message me.

Kick off times vary between 12.30pm up to 2.30pm
Towneley, Pleasington, Accrington, Barnoldswick, Barrowford, Todmorden

We pay £50 per game (£25 from each team before kick off)

We do have venues where we can double up, one ref could do 2 games back to back (Marsden Heights 12.30 and 2.15pm)

✅WhatsApp group for all refs
✅Fixtures put in there every Monday
✅Allocate fairly where possible (ideally don't want the same ref doing the same team every week)

🚨🚨Update 🚨🚨

Unfortunately, we’ve lost a team before the season has started.

Sod's law, it had to be a team from the top division that nobody wants to move up in to!

AFC Vets gave their notice yesterday which means there are (currently) only 7 teams in the Premier Division.

We are in discussions to see if teams would be happy to move up and will update if there are any changes.

The AGM was a tough evening, tried our best to split the leagues evenly but unfortunately that wasn't able to happen with teams not happy about being in higher divisions.

AGM Reminder

The committee will be clocking off for a month.

People have enquired about friendlies and even asked about another summer league.
For friendlies, you can contact the 3G venues directly and organise whatever games you like as private booking
As for a summer league - If you can find someone to organise it, crack on. Once again, this will be completely separate to this league

We will regroup towards the end of June and announce a date for the AGM.

For any new teams looking to join, send a message and we will get back to you. We have already had around 7 enquiries, 3 of which are pretty much confirmed to join.

Another season of learning, and despite losing 5 teams throughout the season, we are one of the only growing grassroots leagues in the North West according to the LFA. The stress is real, never able to please everyone and a lot of comments made both on an off the pitch in relation to how the league is run.

We will be sure to leave a few spare seats at the AGM for those who wish to step up voluntarily to help on the committee
