It takes a great team behind the scenes to keep our racing running smoothly, and we really appreciate Kath giving her time to record the results while enjoying a beautiful evening out on Clowbridge Reservoir. 💙

Last night’s racers set off in moderate/light winds. As the wind dropped, the race was called after 4 laps.

The winners were Nigel and Phil in the Wayfarer, with Robert second in the Phantom, Ben third in his Laser, Tony fourth in his Enterprise, and Eric following in his Streaker.

Thank you to everyone for a beautiful evening, with a convivial atmosphere enjoyed by all. ⛵️

On Wednesday evening, we enjoyed another great race on the water with Martin L, Robert and Simon racing in their dinghies, alongside Martin A S on his windsurfer.

It was a close 5-lap race, with Martin A S crossing the finish line first on the water. After the handicaps were applied, the

final results were:
🥇 Simon – 48:97
🥈 Robert – 54:31
🏅 Martin L – 4 laps in 50:17
🏄 Martin A S – 5 laps in 53:39

Well done to everyone who took part, and thank you to all the volunteers who helped make the evening possible! ⛵

🌊 Another fantastic evening on the water at Rossendale Valley Sailing Club! ⛵🏄‍♂️

There's nothing quite like spending a summer evening sailing or windsurfing at Clowbridge Reservoir. Great conditions, great company, and plenty of smiles all round!

Being a member is about more than just getting out on the water. It's joining a friendly, welcoming community where you can learn new skills, make new friends, and enjoy regular sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and social events throughout the year.
