What are your hips actually doing in your golf swing? ⛳️

A really simple way to check is to pop an alignment stick through your belt buckle.

Make a few slow swings and watch where the stick points as you turn back and then move through the shot.

It gives you instant feedback on how your hips are moving — and whether you’re turning through or getting a bit stuck.

✅ Start slowly
✅ Check your hip turn
✅ Build up to your normal swing

Sometimes the simplest drills give you the clearest feedback.

Save this one and try it next time you practise.

Follow for more simple golf tips to help you understand your swing and play with more confidence.

Three days off… and not a golf club in sight. 😱😂

Seville instead. Sunshine, wandering, fabulous food, lots of laughs… and a fairly committed relationship with sangria. 🍷🇪🇸

No coaching.
No swing thoughts.
No “just one quick email”.
Well… nearly. 😂

Sometimes you’ve just got to disappear for a few days, eat too much, drink the sangria and enjoy yourself.

Life’s too short not to love it. ❤️

Right… normal golf service will now resume... tomorrow. ⛳️😂

THREE TOP TIP TUESDAY ⛳️
Pitching with more confidence

Pitching is one of those shots where doubt can creep in very quickly — and once you start trying to help the ball into the air, things usually get worse!

Here are my 3 top tips for pitching with more confidence:

1️⃣ Commit to your landing spot
Don’t just aim vaguely at the green. Pick where you want the ball to land and make that your target.

2️⃣ Trust the loft
The club is designed to get the ball in the air — you don’t need to scoop or lift it. Stay committed through the shot.

3️⃣ Finish the swing
Nerves often make us decelerate. Keep the club moving through to a positive, balanced finish.

💡 Confidence doesn’t come before the shot — it grows from having a clear plan and committing to it.

Save this one for your next short-game practice session.

What are you going to do with your golf this winter? ⛳

Winter can be a golden time for improvement. With fewer competitions, less pressure on scores and handicaps, it’s the perfect opportunity to step away from simply playing your game and spend some time actually developing it.

A few months of purposeful work now could make a huge difference to the golfer you are next spring.

A stronger mind can reduce your scores significantly.

Don’t just get through the winter. Use it.

BEFORE YOU TEE OFF THIS WEEKEND… ⛳

🎯 Aim middle to back of the green — not at the flag.

If you’re someone who leaves too many approach shots short, try this little trick: ignore the flag and pick a target towards the back of the green.

You might be surprised how often your “short” shot suddenly finishes pin high. 😉

Play for the green. Not the perfect shot.

Save this one for your next round — and follow for more simple ways to play smarter golf.

Struggling to get your weight moving through the shot? ⛳️

Try this simple feel: drive your trail knee through towards the target.

Start with a short, controlled swing and focus on getting your body moving through rather than hanging back.

Once that feels comfortable, gradually build it up into a fuller swing.

✅ Short swing first
✅ Drive the trail knee
✅ Finish balanced and facing the target

Don’t rush to the full swing — get the movement right first, then add speed.

Save this one and give it a try next time you practise.

THREE TOP TIP TUESDAY ⛳️ | Are you an anxious golfer?

If nerves creep in on the golf course and suddenly your swing feels nothing like it did on the range, try these three things:

1️⃣ Slow everything down
Before you hit, take one long breath out. Relax your grip, shoulders and jaw. Give your body a chance to settle.

2️⃣ Give your brain ONE job
Don’t stand over the ball thinking about your swing, your score, the water, what happened on the last hole… Pick your target, choose one simple thought and commit.

3️⃣ Stay in the shot you’re playing
Not the last one. Not the next three holes. This shot.
Your job isn’t to control your score — it’s to make the best decision you can right now.

Being a calmer golfer doesn’t mean you’ll never feel nervous. It means you get better at knowing what to do when those nerves appear.

💬 Are you an anxious golfer? What tends to trigger it for you — the first tee, playing with others, competitions or worrying about your score?

This is the kind of message that makes my day ❤️🏌️‍♀️

A lesson isn’t really about finding a quick “fix”. It’s about helping you understand why something is happening, what you need to change and, most importantly, what you can do next to keep improving.

Today’s message came after a golfer shot her lowest ever score of 95 🙌

Her irons are improving, she knows exactly what she needs to practise next… and perhaps the biggest win of all?

She now genuinely believes she can break 90. (Ive always told her she can)

That change in belief is huge.

There’s still work to do — there always is in golf! — but when you have a clear plan instead of simply hoping things get better, the game starts to feel very different.

And apparently the putting was “meh” 😂… so there’s definitely more to come!

95 today. Breaking 90 next? 👀

If you feel like your golf has stalled and you’re not quite sure what you should be working on, my Tee2Green coaching starts by finding out exactly where your game is now and building a plan around you.

⛳ More clarity. More confidence. More consistency.
