JUNIORS WIN IN THE SUNSHINE

Huge congratulations to our junior team on a spectacular 4–1 victory over Mendip Springs today in the Bristol & District League!🏆

Our players gave away up to 13 shots per match, but they didn’t let that slow them down.

The grit, determination, and skill on display was brilliant to watch in the warm sunshine.

Here is how the matches unfolded:

- Oliver Regniez battled hard but unfortunately lost 6&4, giving away 7 shots.

- Aston Coogan Bourke fought through to win a tight match 2&1, giving away 8 shots!

- Harriet Isaacs staged an epic comeback! Giving away a massive 13 shots, she went down early but dug deep to win 1 up on the final green!

- Alfie Vaughan put on an absolute clinic, storming to an incredible 8&7 win while giving away 10 shots!

- Oliver Aston matched Alfie's flying form, sealing his own fantastic 8&7 victory while giving away 6 shots!

Congratulations to Abigail Moore on winning a county title.🏆

Abigail claimed the Somerset Girls Junior Championships title at Oake Manor this weekend. She delivered a remarkable performance, finishing 5 over par 76 in the morning and an impressive 3 under gross 68 in the afternoon.

What an outstanding achievement!👏

Burnham & Berrow Golf Club juniors secured a 5–0 clean sweep against Henbury on home soil today in the Bristol & District League.

The match started in warm, dry conditions, but finished under grey skies as the temperature dropped and the wind began to pick up. Despite Henbury playing well, the Burnham team put on an excellent performance to win all five matches, overcoming large shot allowances.

* Lincoln Aston gave away 8 shots and won comfortably 7&5.
* Charlie Richardson gave away 4 shots to win his match 3&1.
* Toby Gooding gave away 9 shots and won his match 2&1.
* Alfie Vaughan gave away no shots and secured a convincing 5&4 victory.
* Oliver Aston faced the biggest handicap deficit of the day, giving away 11 shots, but fought hard to win 3&1

A massive well done to these juniors who represented the team today - you played brilliantly and are an absolute credit to the club.

Yesterday our juniors competed in a knockout match against Wheathill, with the boys having to give plenty of shots: Jack Isaacs gave 20 shots, Lincoln Aston 17, and Harvey 13.

However, Lincoln won his match 6&5, Harvey won 4&2 and Jack was unlucky to lose 2 down after a great effort.

Thank you to Wheathill for putting up a really good battle in very testing, windy conditions, but well done to our team on a hard-fought 2-1 win.

Well done to everyone who played.
