Founded in 1872 on the Thames at Erith, the Club moved to Burnham on Crouch in 1892 and opened its award winning Clubhouse in 1931. With some of the best one design racing for Dragons, Squibs, 707s, the classic Royal Corinthian One Design, and an active cruiser fleet and dinghy fleet, the club is ideal for both the experienced and novice sailor. For youth sailors, The Corinthian Otters, founded in 1930, offers enjoyment and expertise on the water for 6 - 18 year olds, developing sailing, racing and communication skills.

Weather was bright and sunny but the wind was playing tricks. Sometimes steady, other times nothing.

BURNHAM WEEK 2026
As the sailing is cancelled today, I took the opportunity to look through some of the bird shots I had taken.
When we head down to the marina in the mornings to collect Phoebe, we are generally greeted by the swan family, which is a good start to the day.
An Egret was hovering around the club pontoon for a while and as many of you may have noticed lots of geese were crossing the river.
So as no action today, thought I would share these photo's with you.
