Congratulations to Jo Kurn, your Ladies Club Champion for 2026! 🏆

The Ladies 36 Hole Championship is a proper test, two rounds in a single day, with the scratch and handicap competitions played at the same time.

Jo took both titles, winning the scratch with a 192 and the handicap with a 150. To come out on top across both in a single day is a serious achievement.

A brilliant performance and a worthy champion. Well played Jo 👏

Congratulations to Andi and Lisa Turner, winners of this year's Mixed Invitation! 🏆

A Greensomes competition played in mixed pairs, followed by a meal to round off the day. This husband and wife duo proved a winning team, posting a superb 44 points to take the title between them.

Golf and good company in equal measure, and a lovely one to win together. Well played both 👏

Congratulations to Mick Leonard, winner of this year's Dr Butcher! 🏆

A firm fixture in the Burnham calendar, always played on the August bank holiday Monday. Mick came out on top with 38 points, edging it on countback from Alan Glass in what must have been a nervy finish. There's nothing quite like a countback to sort the winner from the pack.

Well played Mick, and hard luck to Alan, beaten by the smallest of margins. A cracking way to round off the bank holiday 👏

Our 3rd 🏌️‍♂️

A hole that asks for a smart tee shot rather than a big one. Keep it left and don't overhit, or you'll find the pond waiting at the bottom of the hill. Judge it right and you're left with a lovely shot across the pond to the green.

One of the prettiest holes on the course, and one of the trickiest too. Get your par here and you've earned it 💚

Hit and Hope 🤞

The 7th green sits at the top of the hill, and the name gives you a fair idea of what the approach feels like.

You can't quite see all you'd like to, so club selection is half judgement and half faith. Get it right and you're in for a treat, misjudge it and, well, the name says it all.

It's one of those holes that stays with you, as much about nerve and local knowledge as it is about the swing. And when you do find the green, it's a deep breath before the putt...⛳️

Congratulations to the winners of the John Humphreys Texas Scramble: Sean Hill, Steve Simmonds, Rob Atkins and Martin Robinson! 🏆

A special day in the calendar, played in honour of our Club President, John Humphreys. It's a competition full of character, with an extra prize for nearest to the bridge on the 7th, a bridge John built himself, and the wonderful tradition of every player putting one-handed on the 18th green.

A brilliant team effort from the winning four, and a fitting tribute to the man it celebrates. Well played all 👏

To the 9th 🏌️‍♂️

The turn is in sight, and the 9th asks a proper question on the way in.

Well guarded, true to putt, and looking superb in the dry summer conditions we've been enjoying. Judge it right and you'll head to the back nine in good spirits, get it wrong and it'll test your short game.

Halfway round with plenty of golf still to play. Holes like this are exactly why we love it out here, every one asking something different of you 💚

Sunset over the 8th 🌇

There's something special about the course as the day winds down. The light softens, the greens empty out, and holes like the 8th look their absolute best in that golden evening glow. The pace slows, the course quietens, and it becomes a genuinely lovely place to be.

Well worth staying out for those final few holes as the sun drops. Summer evenings at Burnham really do take some beating, so if you can get an evening tee time booked, do it ⛳️

A closer look at our 8th 🏌️‍♂️

One of the many greens keeping their colour and playing beautifully in the current conditions. Get your approach right here and you'll be walking off with a smile, but drift offline and you'll have some work to do to save your par. It's a hole that rewards a bit of thought over brute force.

That's what makes it such a satisfying one to play. Proper golf on a proper course, and the 8th looking about as good as it gets right now ⛳️

Congratulations to Adam Mandale on winning the 36 Hole Stableford! 🏆

Played over two days, this one rewards consistency as much as brilliance, and Adam put together the points to come out on top of the field. Two solid rounds under pressure is no small task.
