Often described as 'The Friendly Golf Club in the New Forest', Burley Golf Club also has some of the best greens in Hampshire

Burley Golf Club was established in 1905. This course in Hampshire was set out by local gentlemen on Forestry land and is a typical heath land course that remains largely unspoiled today. Described as one of the “gems of the New Forest”, the course offers some of the finest greens at golf courses in Hampshire or Dorset. John Jacobs, OBE, former Ryder Cup Captain and player, says “I have enjoyed pl

aying Burley for many years and it is one of my favourite courses.”

Burley Golf Club welcomes players of all ages and abilities for golfing in Hampshire to enjoy the attractive setting of this New Forest Course and all the facilities available in its friendly and welcoming clubhouse.

The Bridport Bowl Final 02/09/26

The first time in the long standing history of the competition that two teams from the same club have won through to the final.
The Bowl is a knockout competition played between golf clubs from across Wessex (Dorset,Somerset,Wiltshire & Hampshire).
Teams of 10 play a series of 4 ball better ball games home & away to determine the winner of each match. The competition culminates with a two leg home and away quarter final followed by the semi-finals and final hosted by Bridport & West Dorset Golf Club.
In a very close fought final in testing conditions,Burley A took the victory 3-2 with 2 of the 3 won games going to extra holes.
Congratulations to both teams on reaching the final and doing The Burley Golf Club proud.

Bridport Bowl semi-final’s day today hosted by Bridport Golf Club.
Burley were represented in each semi-final playing teams from Crane Valley GC.
The Burley teams have won through to the final next month again at Bridport GC.
Congratulations to both teams 🎉
