Jump Jive & Stroll Swing Dance Class 1940s/50s style swing jive, fun, friendly classes for adults. Friendly, adults jive classes at St Johns Church Hall, Hall Cliffe, Baildon BD17 6ND.

Tuesday evenings, 7.30 - 8.30 with jive, strolls, sequence and party dances that are seen at local events and dances. £7 cash per person The style is 40s/50s partner dancing, mostly men dancing with women but there's no reason why same sex partners cant have a go., just so long as one person leads and the other follows! In the beginners class, we rotate everyone so you don't need to come with a pa

rtner, although you will usually need one for the improvers. We have dancers of all ages, from 18 up to a sprightly 80 years old! Everyone is welcome. 7.30pm to 9.30pm, almost every Tuesday. (The doors open at 7.15 pm). Its £7 per person, per week, pay on the door. Please try to bring the correct change. We play a mix of swing jive and novelty dances/strolls/social dances, mostly from the 30s/40s with the odd more modern one thrown in. A lot of these dances are seen at 40s/50s events and dances. If you don't know them, or we've learnt a new one, we will go through it with everyone. If you're a complete beginner, turn up at 7.30 and we'll show you the basics. There's a large car park on Browgate, free after 6pm. Any questions? Third time lucky! Due to snow and illness, we had to delay our classes for the past 2 weeks. But we're back tomorrow night, 21st January. New beginners especially welcome at 7.30, improvers 8.00, practice, social dances etc for all 8.30 - 9.30. £7 cash on the door.

We're having a social night this tuesday 30th July, 7.30 to 9.30pm. All welcome, optional 'fruity theme' for clothing! Then we will have a break in August and be back the first tuesday in September

Happy New Year everyone. Classes resume next tuesday 9th January at 7.30 for beginners, 8.15 to 9.30 improvers, social and novelty dances, strolls etc. Still only £6 per person at St Johns Church Hall, Hallcliffe, Baildon.
You may have seen us on Matt Baker's Travels with Mum and Dad, on Channel 4 recently.

There's no classes this Tuesday 10th October, but we're back as usual the following Tuesday 17th. Beginners 7.30-8.15 followed by Improvers and Strolls etc until 9.30. We'll be learning the Eva 3 Step for our next dance, all welcome to learn, including beginners.
