🚨RUCK masterclass

🏉This week the girls were given a masterclass in ruck technique by Evie Collingbourne, (Trailfinders Women Pathway Academy player, and former Burgess Hill player) and Lee Collingbourne, Burgess Hill RFC Head Coach.

🔥The girls were taken through the ruck, understanding body position and how / when to ruck, and then took part in high energy practical sessions.

Our girls learn from the best 💪

🖤Huge thanks to Lee and Evie for giving up their time to invest in the next generation of Sussex All Blacks. Our second session with them in the last few weeks. 🙏

💪 We’ve had a brilliant pre-season building fitness, sharpening skills, and we are READY TO GO! 👊

💥Our first game (U14) kicks off on September 20th, and keep your eyes peeled for more guest coaching and fun training sessions coming soon.

🤔Thinking about joining? There’s still time! We train as a full squad on Wednesday evenings, plus age-group specific sessions on Sunday mornings.

🚨 Defensive Ruck - Coach Development Session 🏃‍♀️

💪Earlier this week we welcomed Ben Pollard and Tom Hicks from Sussex Rugby to Burgess Hill to run a Coach Development Session, focused on the decision-making behind the defensive ruck. When to jackal, when to counter-ruck, and when to simply leave it.

🖤Our girls were front and centre for it all, providing the players for the coaching session, and they didn’t disappoint!

🔥Ben and Tom were full of praise for the effort, talent and technique on show.

🏉We’re always proud of this squad, but seeing them held up as the example for other coaches made it a little extra special

👏Great work girls, and thank you Ben and Tom for sharing your expertise and infectious enthusiasm for coaching, you’re always welcome at Burgess Hill RFC.
