1-1 PT isn’t just one workout, me pretending I can count past 10 🤪 then sending you on your way!

It’s your plan, your goals and your pace (with an extra push)

It’s…..
-A personalised plan- because this ain’t one size fits all group training. Not just for our sessions but for you to complete in your own time.

-Nutrition support that fits around your actual life

-Accountability. I’ll notice when you disappear 👀

-Someone to push you when you need that extra 10%

-And someone in your corner the whole way 🩷

The goal? To help you get stronger, feel better, build confidence and actually enjoy training.

So…..
If you’ve stopped and started for years and need a little help or want to boost your confidence in the gym and your life……. That’s exactly what I’m here for 💁🏽‍♀️

DM me ‘September’ and let’s chat

The face says it all really 😂

Today was my day! Time to focus on myself in the gym, smash a workout and get myself back into a good routine.

My body: Absolutely f**king not. 😩

Period is looming.
Body aches.
Tired.
Zero energy.
And generally just feeling like a sack of potatoes.

I actually started my workout but I just wasn’t feeling it. And instead of accepting that, I started getting stressed because “I should be doing more.”

But… I gave myself a talking to.

Not every workout is going to be amazing. Not every day are we going to feel strong, motivated and full of energy.

It’s frustrating yes, but it’s being human.

Sometimes something is better than nothing.

I moved my body. I did what I could. And I stopped when it became more stressful than beneficial.

This time will pass.
My energy will come back.
And I’ll get back to smashing my workouts when I’m ready.

Because this isn’t about being perfect!

It means having an off day without turning it into an off week. ❤️

So if you’re feeling like crap today too… you’re not failing.
Listen to your body, do what you can, tomorrow is another day! x

So if you’ve spent the summer saying:

“I’ll get back into it when the kids go back…”

👀 This is your sign.

You don’t need to wait until Monday.
You don’t need to wait until January.
And you definitely don’t need to try another extreme diet or punish yourself in the gym.

You just need a plan that fits around YOUR life.

If you’re ready to feel stronger, fitter and more confident heading into autumn, I currently have spaces available for 1-1 PT and online coaching.

DM me ‘START’ and let’s get to it! 💪🏽

It’s been around 5 years now I’ve maintained my 4 stone weight loss.
Don’t get me wrong there’s been small fluctuations here and there but that’s totally normal! But one thing I know is I will never go back.

It took years of mistakes some not through any fault of my own. The information that was around when I was a teenager and well into my 20s most likely had a huge part to play. Crash diets, meal replacements, slimming clubs telling me off for enjoying an avocado! 🥑 The trauma of being weighed in front of a room of people at the end of the day being told I’d gained 1ib and asked what I did wrong! (Sorry Karen actually maybe I hadn’t been for a 💩 that day!) But back then it just felt like failure the inevitably lead me to give up….Well until the next thing to try!

The “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels” era really did have us messed up.

I wish I knew then what I know now.
I don’t want to be ‘skinny’
I train to be strong, I worked out exactly what my body needed, I trained for not just my physical health but for how it makes me feel and do exercise I enjoy. (Not hours of cardio)
I learnt to track my progress in other ways, like how I felt, energy levels, how my clothes fit, not just on what the scales were telling me. (Years ago stepping on those would have ruined my day!)
This switch in my brain around ‘weight loss’ meant I got the results! It was sustainable and I could enjoy my life.

Of course there are some sacrifices, you can’t be carrying on smashing 2 takeaways a weekend or getting through multiple bottles of w**e! But once you nail that balance…enjoying foods you love, or a meal out with your friends will no longer have you feeling guilty and like you’ve ruined it all!

This is why I do what I do. I’ve been there, stuck in the same cycles and I want to help as many women as I can get out of that, finally live a balanced life and feel damn confident in their bodies!

If you’re feeling stuck then it’s time to get educated! You need a plan that works for you and someone to hold you accountable…That’s where I come in 💁🏽‍♀️

“But Philippe, I am fighting gravity!”

My client recently went to the Marilyn Monroe portrait exhibition and showed me these photos. I did some reading and found an entire interview from Marilyn talking about her weight lifting, high protein diet and keeping her muscles firm. 💪🏽

What struck me was that this was in 1952!
It’s a shame this kind of thinking for women didn’t stick. We’ve had to endure the skinny era, diet culture and women thinking they need to shrink themselves and barely eat.

I love these photos and here’s what she said at the end of her interview

“It’s a good thing, I suppose, that I eat simply during the day, for in recent months I have developed the habit of stopping off at Wil Wright’s ice cream parlor for a hot fudge sundae on my way home from my evening drama classes. I’m sure that I couldn’t allow myself this indulgence were it not that my normal diet is composed almost totally of protein foods.”

She was even nailing balance!

If you are interested you can read the full interview below.

That’s exactly what I said to the girls before this night out in Marbella. I wasn’t feeling myself at all, wasn’t sure about what I was wearing and was picking myself apart.

Now I look back and wonder what I was talking about!
I actually really like this photo and all the photos from that night. Plus we had an amazing time!

A little reminder that your brain isn’t always telling you the truth.

As women we go from one day absolutely feeling ourselves 🔥, confident and happy. To the next waking up and feeling like a potato and convincing ourselves that we do 100% look like that potato and no one else can tell us otherwise! 🥔

The reality is you look no different to anyone else than you did yesterday.
Our mood, hormones, stress levels and the way we speak to ourselves can completely change how we see our own reflection.

So here’s a reminder if you are having a ‘thumb’ or ‘potato’ feeling day.

Wear the dress.
Wear the shorts.
Take the photo.
Go on the night out.
Make the memories.

Because those feelings will pass… and chances are you’ll look back on those photos one day and wonder why you were ever being so hard on yourself.
