Your spine isn't stiff, it's just untrained in the movements you are asking it...
It's realising that our vertebrae are individual joints and being able to move our spine in a way that shows this is important for spine health and longevity.
It's not about being perfect (🙋🏼♂️i'm not) but it is about trying to understand where you may really struggle to understand where you move from or to in this drill. Where does your connection go blank and where do you feel like something else is moving instead of where you intended to move.
The 3 drills all do the same thing, but require different awareness to achieve the control and movement of the vertebrate that's needed.
The good news is you can always develop and improve these connections and understanding of your spine, but the sad fact is most people don't prioritise it until they have hurt their back or their spine mobility becomes a problem.
Start small and never push through pain, but even the smallest movement or intention can have a compounding effect over time.
