Here was a great example of how we approach all training at H Space. It wasn't Kate's best get up I've seen her do, but she still got the 20kg done with me safely spotting and supporting her. Notice the cues weren't that she needed to work harder or push more but just an awareness of one skill that she can action that helps her improve when she practises the get up, plus reinforcing the good reps she has done.
We ask people to show up and practise. Every time they are with us they are practising. No forcing a 'workout' but practising. This will always allow them to improve at every session. The more you practise the better you get.
After countless sessions in a long time of coaching it's people that just force a workout are the ones that end up getting bored, jumping to different programs, feeling stuck etc. but if you practise the movements a workout will happen without you even realising it.
That's what coaching is, helping facilitate improvement in someone!
