It's been an AMAZING AUGUST for our Black Dogs!

🦖At the Dinosaur Dash at ROARR!®, well done to Asher Bennett, Joseph Batchelor and Arthur Bentley - our amazing juniors!
In the senior 5km, first Black Dog home was Ernie McGill!! A huge well done to Ernie entering the Seniors race as a Junior, and what a fantastic result. Just behind him was Byron McGill, with Bobbie Sauerzapf coming 1st in her age category. And a great run for Paul Bell-Tye.

🏰Next up, and another hot one, the Great Yarmouth Half Marathon from . A beautiful route, including taking in Somerleyton Estate. Well done to Kieran Bell-Tye, Kirsty Dekeyzer, Bobbie Sauerzapf (another age category win🥇) and Graham Kemp.

🏅At the EPIC Norfolk North Walsham 5km last Friday evening, well done to Kieran Bell-Tye, Bobbie Sauerzapf (2nd in her age category🥈) and Philip Neave.

🔟Last Sunday was another popular race - the Dereham 10 Miler, hosted by Dereham Runners AC. Well done to Steve Rodwell and Bobbie Sauerzapf (once again winning her age category🥇!!)

🦁"Run for Wildlife", Africa Alive 5km took place at Kessingland Wildlife Park this weekend. Well done to our runners - ALL placing top 3 in the age categories! Bobbie Sauerzapf (🥈), Susan Glazer (🥉) and Philip Neave (🥉). Africa Alive Reserve

🪜And finally, today was the Lowestoft Scores Race! Hosted by Waveney Valley Athletic Club. A totally unique race, this demanding race comprises 13 stepped and sloped scores over a course of approximately 4.75 miles and 401 steps. Danny Saunders was first home, followed by Sophie Barnard, Rob Hall, Joanne Cox (🥉 in her age category), Martyn Woodgate, Tim Hunn, Bobbie Sauerzapf (🥇in her age category), Caroline Cox-Hartigan, Julian Sutton, Simon Sparkes, Sarah Sparkes, Lucy Johnston, Fay Sutton and Philip Neave (🥈in his age category).

On a warm Friday evening, North Norfolk Beach Runners hosted their popular 5 Mile race - the 38th edition! A great way to kick off the Worstead Festival!

❤️Black Dog Memorial Run ❤️

It was our annual Memorial Run on Thursday where we raised a glass to members no long with us.

Many of the runners enjoyed the Bath Hills, which is where BBDRC founding members Jim Jervis, Chris Hand, Peter Morrow and Roger Mawer had their first runs together in 1981, before the club was officially formed in 1982!

This route was Jim’s favourite (as was the Earsham Queens Head) and is still a very much beloved route with club members today, and one that we look forward to each summer!

It was really lovely to be back at the Queens Head - it was a rather warm evening and the refreshments went down very well indeed!

On Friday evening it was Reepham Runners' Summer Evening 10km. A great evening for racing! Well done to Damian Ashcroft and Bobbie Sauerzapf.

🏁 NIGHT OF THE 5KMS🏁
On Saturday evening, it was a speedy, paced track 5km race in King's Lynn.
🏆Well done to Bobbie Sauerzapf who won her age category, coming in well under 30 mins!

A slightly breezy, but great 5km at Scottow Enterprise Park. Thanks to Colitshall Jaguars.

💥WROXHAM 5KM 💥

Norfolk's ultra-fast 5km delivered incredible results for our Black Dogs at the start of July! It was a warm, humid evening, but the support, atmosphere and medals were as good as ever. Thanks to for a great evening!
