Gecko Head Gear We are a Cornish company established in 1993, specialising in hand-made helmets designed for Marine Safety Organisations and water born sport markets.

Ten years of continuous research in conjunction with Rescue and Emergency organisations has resulted in a range of helmets that can be adapted to meet the needs of a wide spectrum of professional and sporting use around the world. Our helmets are ideally suited to help keep you safe, warm and comfortable within the marine environment. We design helmets for Rib`s, Jet skis to Powerboats ranging fro

m 8ft to 80ft. Passing both the British Standards Institute PAS 028 (Marine Safety Helmet) and EN 12492 (Mountaineers Helmet) our helmets have a multi-role use, perfectly suited for those organisations such as the coastguard who work closely within the marine and mountaineering environments. Safety is our priority. With continuous innovation and research we continue to be the worlds leading marine safety helmet design and manufacturer.

Last week we had the pleasure of joining at Croyde for their Surfathon. A 12 hour adaptive surf challenge raising money for their amazing therapy charity.

It was a day full of smiles (as you can see from the pictures) and successful day for fundraising!

We were able to provide Ian, who organised the event and last year won the BBC South West Unsung Hero award, with a custom helmet which came covered in names of the young people that Ian has directly helped with his work, many of whom were there on the day 😊
