💙 END OF AN ERA 💙

As our 23/24 seasons come to a close so does our time as Bude Ladies.

As a team, we have made the decision to move to another local club and become Kilkhampton Ladies for the upcoming 24/25 season. It has been a decision not taken lightly but one we feel is best for our team at this time.

Bude Ladies was formed way back in 1999/2000 therefore making us the longest continuously running ladies team in Cornwall, a feat pretty special for a small town on the North coast.
We have had many players wear the badge of Bude in that time, some of which have retired from the game, others moved to different clubs or sadly, some legends that are no longer with us. Every single one has left their mark on Bude Ladies of which will always remain.
We thank Bude FC for having us over the last 24/25 years and wish them the best in their upcoming season of which we hope is a positive step forward for the club.

From everyone at Bude Ladies, we thank those of you who have supported us, in whatever way you have over the years. It has always been appreciated
So the next time you see us, we will be wearing the red & black of Kilk and our new home will be Lamb Park. We hope to see you there to support us on our new venture.

✨ Presentation Evening✨

Last night we celebrated our team at the club presentation evening. A great way to end a difficult season and celebrate the achievements of all the players.

All the girls deserve recognition for the work they have put in this season but unfortunately there is only 4 trophies to be won 🏆

Most improved went to Meg for her commitment and dedication to turn up to training and games every week despite her hangovers. She's made some excellent saves this season and the increase in her confidence as the season went on was a pleasure to watch.

The goal of the season was a difficult one because we've scored some absolute worldies this season, this year it went to Courtney for her excellent long range effort that was inch perfect.

The player's player went to the Duracell bunny of our team, Ammy. A deserved win as she had another excellent season, a great leader on and off the pitch.

The manager's player went to Bex for all the work she does off and on the pitch, getting players involved, collecting the kit, providing motivational music and snacks as well as maintaining her 100% penalty scoring record this season. A real asset to the team.

Well done to all the award winners across all the teams. We now look forward to a well earned rest 🫶🏼

With the 23/24 season completed, I wanted to take a moment to thank the girls for all their hard work & commitment this season 💪🏼
It's been a tough season for many reasons that sees us relegated to League 2 however we all believe we will come back stronger!
The girls have never given up and despite some tight games have put in performances to be proud of, it's been an absolute pleasure to manage them for the second half of the season.

I'd also like to thank those that have continued to support us throughout. A big shout out to Neil Fishleigh for funding a new bag of training balls to get us kick started in pre-season training ⚽ thank you to Funky chicken for sponsoring our away kit this season!

We look forward to our club's end of season presentation on Saturday.

The U’14s absolutely smashing it and winning their league 💪🏼 Well done girls! The future of girls & women’s football in Bude is looking very exciting 💙

These girls won the U14s league last night. Unbeaten in 18 league games and most of the season we have only had 14 players so all played a huge part in this win. Last year they were 4th in division 2 this year there was only one league for the whole of Cornwall. Super proud of them 👏 Well done Julie and Alex as well!

Another beautiful sunny day on Sunday for a game of football and what a game it was!

We came out strong in the first half playing some of our best football, the pressure paid off as Striker Katy hit one from distance to beat the keeper, from a great assist from Captain George.
St Dennis weren't going to take that lying down and got one back.
They piled the pressure on with an excellent clearance off the line by our defender Hannah.
Shortly after a foul on Katy led to a penalty which was easily put away by Bex who has a 100% penalty scoring record this season 💪🏼
Goalkeeper Meg made some excellent stops to keep them at bay, but St Dennis went on to equalise again, as the game could have swung either way.
Late in the game we conceeded a soft penalty which St Dennis scored.
3-2 with a few minutes to spare, every one of our girls putting their body on the line with some crunching tackles!
Wingers Eva and Caz never stopped chasing down the ball to deliver crosses into the box. Defenders Lou, Rin, Gabby and Hannah put their whole bodies into this game so much so Rin had to be carried off (definitely fancied an early beer🍺) the middle of the park was well controlled by Court, Bex and super sub Rebecca.
Unfortunately we just couldn't get it over the line, another game where we sadly miss out on points, an unfair reflection on the game and our season as a whole!

Massive thank you to Kilkhampton Football club for the use of the pitch and thank you for all the support in the sunshine ☀️

Player of the match was Caz for being absolutely everywhere 💪🏼

Final score 3-2

Sundays game Vs Wadebridge Town Ladies FC ⚽
We travelled down with the bare 11, and took the lead in the first half from an absolute worldie from Court set up from a Bex lay off. The first half ended 1-0 to Bude after a great effort to see out the half. Wadebridge came out stronger in the second half and equalised and then went on to score two more goals scrambled across the line. A foul on Jane earned us a penalty expertly converted by Bex right into the roof of the net. Unfortunately we couldn't make our pressure pay and get the equaliser at the end. Wadebridge used their subs well to stop our momentum and bring on fresh legs at key points. Another game where we played excellent football and deserved at least a point from the game!

Great effort from all the girls gave their all to the final whistle.

Best of luck to Wadebridge for the rest of their season 💪🏼
