I used to think presence was something to get to - a state to reach through effort.
But when my mum was nearing the end of her life, something unexpected happened.
I saw how life was naturally unfolding, beyond my interference. ‘I’ disappeared - the ‘me’ that was always trying to fix, manage, or control things fell quiet. And instead of feeling helpless, I felt something else: a calm, steady love.
Not love as emotion, but love as something deeper - something always here.
If presence can arise so effortlessly in that moment, it must already be available, all the time. Not as something to attain, but as something to simply notice.
That experience changed everything. It showed me that peace isn’t dependent on circumstances. And that even in loss, love isn’t absent - it’s simply what remains when everything else falls away.
It’s always here. Already yours - waiting to be seen.
This was a gift revealed through loss for me - and is what I now help my clients see for themselves - not by adding more to do, but by uncovering what’s already here.
Seeing differently changes everything - if this speaks to you, let’s connect.
