Qualifiers for 2027 officially get underway from 1 September – so don’t miss your chance to start your Trailblazers journey.

Whether you’re hoping to make your Championship debut, have unfinished business from this year or simply want something exciting to aim for with your horse or pony, now is the time to get involved.

A championship that was worth the wait! 🏆💙

Thirty nine year old Beth Evans and Bailey claimed the Cavaletti Collection Saddles Seniors on Ponies Trailblazers 60cm Championship after two brilliant performances across the weekend.

Bailey had qualified for the championships last year, but heartbreak struck when they feared he had broken his leg in the field and were unable to make the trip. This year, they came back determined to make it count.

“I was first to go yesterday, so I had to go all out and pray!” said Beth. “There were four clears on day two, but he just smashed it both times. He won yesterday by two seconds and today by three.”

And Bailey certainly thrives on a championship atmosphere.

“He loves the atmosphere and it really improves his performance. He gets excited to be at a party and just loves being out there.”

From missing last year’s championships to returning and delivering when it mattered, it was a fantastic comeback for Beth and Bailey – and a very well-deserved championship title. 🐴🏆

Six years of SEIB Trailblazers Championships, and Charlie Harper continues to make her mark! 🏆

The 29-year-old bridge engineer and eight-year-old Quantocks Best Kept Secret, known at home as Griffin, added another title to Charlie's impressive Trailblazers record by winning the Atelier Equine Combined Training Novice Pony 70cm Championship.

Charlie bought Griffin for just £200 when he was six months old and has produced him herself. A true family all-rounder, he turns his hoof to everything and has become a firm favourite both at home and at the championships.

"He's got the most amazing temperament and he's so easy to ride on the flat. It's so nice to ride a horse that's so uncomplicated," said Charlie.

Now in her sixth year competing at the SEIB Insurance Brokers Trailblazers Championships and a consistent winner across the years, it's easy to understand why Charlie keeps coming back.

"The atmosphere here is amazing – it's my favourite stay-away show of the year."

Another championship, another special Trailblazers memory for Charlie and Griffin. 💙🐴

A rare result and a fitting end to a fantastic championship! 🏆🏆

For the first time this week, the Spillers Senior Trailblazers Introductory Championship produced joint champions, with Charlie Harper and Quantocks Best Kept Secret sharing the title with Samantha Whiteside and Dylasau Tristan John (Merlin).

For 29-year-old bridge engineer Charlie, it marked her second championship title of the week after winning the Combined Training Novice Pony Championship earlier in the championships.

"I must admit I'm a jumper, so the jumping is a bit more fun," laughed Charlie. "But he's been incredible this week."

For 32-year-old veterinary nurse Samantha, who travelled from Wales, it was the perfect reward after finishing reserve in the same championship last year.

"It's our third time at Trailblazers with Merlin and we've competed in the Intro each time. We came here with an aim and it's paid off. He's nine, he's amazing – he's a superstar."

The spirit of Trailblazers was perfectly summed up by Samantha, who revealed that although she and Charlie had never met before, Charlie had plaited Merlin's mane that morning.

"The atmosphere is super. Everyone is so friendly and so supportive. If you need help, they help you." 💙🐴

An inspiring championship victory! 🏆💙

Twelve-year-old Zara Hayler and her eight-year-old partner, Erw Wastad Step On, claimed the Spillers Junior Trailblazers Introductory Championship after qualifying at Dairy House Dressage.

Having only started dressage this year and living with muscular sclerosis, Zara's championship success is all the more remarkable. The pair have been together for just 18 months, building a partnership that has quickly flourished.

"He's so well behaved and has taught me so much," said Zara. "He's very calm and very relaxed."

A fantastic achievement and the perfect reward for a partnership built on trust and confidence. Congratulations to Zara and Erw Wastad Step On! 💙🐴

Back on top! 🏆✨

Olivia McCullough and nine-year-old Rebel Rua successfully defended their title, winning the Spillers Senior Preliminary Championship for the second consecutive year at the SEIB Trailblazers Championships.

The pair, who have been together for three years, also added the reserve title in the Novice Championship, capping another outstanding week. A true all-rounder, Rebel Rua has continued to go from strength to strength.

"He's really progressed from last year and he's been really consistent," said Olivia.

For Olivia and her family, Trailblazers is about much more than results.

"We've been coming as a family for eight or nine years and we love it. It's the highlight of our year – we think it's the best show ever."

A championship built on confidence and partnership. 🏆💙

Fifteen-year-old Isabella Kirk-Doran, from Cheshire, and her 24-year-old partner, Herbie, claimed the Spillers Junior Trailblazers Preliminary Championship at the SEIB Trailblazers Championships.

The pair, who have been together for four years, were introduced through a Pony Club friend to help rebuild Isabella's confidence. After winning Thursday's warm-up class and finishing joint fourth on Friday, they saved their best for the championship.

"He's been the best thing that happened to us," said Isabella. "I love his rhythm and the way he moves."

With GCSEs on the horizon, Isabella can now add Trailblazers champion to her growing list of achievements. Congratulations to Isabella and Herbie! 💙🐴

Back-to-back championship victories for Christine Sherfield and Furst Wish! 🏆🏆

Fifty-eight-year-old Christine continued her incredible weekend at the SEIB Trailblazers Championships by adding the Spillers Senior Elementary Championship tally.

Competing at Trailblazers for the very first time, Christine and her homebred seven-year-old mare have enjoyed a dream debut. Having bred, backed and produced Furst Wish herself, the double championship success made the weekend even more special.

"She's fantastic and takes it all in her stride," said Christine.

Reflecting on her first Trailblazers experience, Christine added: "I've had the best time ever – everyone is so friendly."

Congratulations to Christine and Furst Wish on an unforgettable championship double! 💙🐴
