Slade - Snooker & Indoor Bowls Clubs Slade Snooker Club, & Indoor Bowls are friendly clubs and welcomes anyone interested in playing either bowls or snooker for pleasure or competition

The Slade Recreation Club (Slade RC) was established in 1989. With the aid of a lottery grant, councillors were able to raise money to convert what used to be a HGV storage depot into a recreation club. Which would support the activities of Indoor Bowls & Snooker, as well as being a venue to hold other events like meetings/presentations as well as other social activities. Each club has it own comm

ittee and arranges its own activities league fixtures, competitions etc. The Slade RC is run by a group of non executive directors who meet once a month to discuss issues, such as finance, marketing, building maintenance, events, plus other issues which come up from time to time. Slade RC Indoor Bowls club welcomes anyone who is interested in playing bowls. The club bowling season is from Sept - Apr. Mornings - Opening hours

Every weekday morning between 9am and 12am, the club is open for roll-up practise. This is an ideal time to come along if you are new to the game as someone will always be available to help explain how to go about joining and learning to play. (SIBC) has a resident coach so even if you have never played before you can get some coaching. Afternoon - Opening times

Some league matches are played in the afternoons during the week. Opening times - Evenings

Again some league games are played on certain nights during the week. On nights when no league games are played, then members can come along to practise by themselves or with their fellow bowls members. Weekends: Slade RC hold several matches/competitions against club's from in and around the south east, please check out the fixture & results if you want to know more. Slade RC Snooker club is friendly and welcomes new members and guests (guest fee applies) They have four full size snooker tables, all tables are maintained to a high standard. Slade RC is open daily for snooker. (Please refer to our website for full and extra details)

As a general rule the club is open between 9am -12am mornings and between 7:30-10.30pm evening's every weekday between April & Sep. The club is also open during the summer months May-Aug between 10am-12am and 7.30 - 10pm . The club may also be open on some afternoons and weekends for indoor bowls matches when you are welcome to access snooker tables for details see bowls fixtures list. Or you can be a volunteer keyholder providing you will open\close club on your preferred night. We also operate a key holder system when the club can be opened if its not in use during normal opening hours. Please see front door for contact details for the appropriate key holder for each night. As the Slade RC is run by volunteer members, we are always keen to hear about any member who may want to help with the running of one of the separate clubs or even to join the Slade Council Committee as a Director. Please let the Secretary know if you are interested.

Haven’t posted anything for a while. Apologies for this.

Just to let everyone know the Bowls and Snooker Clubs are both open.

Bowls club is open Mon- Fri mornings 9-12, Wed & Thursday afternoons 1.15-4.15pm, and Mon, Tues and Friday nights 6.15-9pm. The Bowlers also play weekends on Saturday or Sundays from time to time in competitions.

The Snooker Club is open at same times as above, but will also stay open later in the evenings and at other times with keyholders agreement.

The Snooker Club, is now open since 17th May. We have seen a really good response with 40 members joining including 3 new members 😀.

The Indoor Bowlers are looking at starting morning roll ups from 21st June. With morning sessions Tues, Weds and Thursdays.

Now the nights are drawn in and it’s cold and wet outside why not try your hand at Snooker or Indoor Bowls or both.

The Bowlers turn up for morning roll ups every weekday between 9.30 and 12am they break for coffee and biscuits. Some of our Snooker players enjoy sharing the company of the Bowls and their hospitality and come down on a few week day mornings. The Bowlers also have various league matches and competitions throughout the season. Visit their website for more information and who to contact.
