Nearly 3,000 holes played, 10,000+ shots struck and 4.3 million steps walked in 2025 alone… all while working full‑time in a senior software role.
Spencer Wood is a self‑confessed golf geek who’s turned passion into participation. Based at Stowe Golf Club, the 45‑year‑old combines his love of data, performance sport and golf to squeeze every possible moment out of the game – and enjoy every step of it.
To put that into perspective, Spencer submitted 215 general play scores last year.
The national average for male golfers in England? 11.69.
