⛳️👏🏻 Captain’s Day 2026 saw this year’s Club Captain, Rob Johnson invite members to participate in very mixed weather conditions. Sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe wet, and not forgetting the wind! 🤪

A huge turnout throughout the day, incredibly well supported by a large section of the membership, with everyone enjoying refreshments half way, supporting the club and charities by entering raffles and trying the Captain’s Challenge on the par 3 12th.

Overall, there can only be one winner and this year with a score of 39pts, the plaudits went to Bruce Topley.

During the presentation evening, Buckingham Golf Club also took the opportunity to celebrate 8 members who have been members for over 50yrs. A truly loyal section, and a fantastic time to honour them. 👏🏻⛳️

🟡 Yellow = Middle
🔵 Blue = Back

Knowing the flag position helps you judge your yardage more accurately and commit to the right shot, especially on Par 3s and approach shots. ⛳️🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️👍🏼

Our green staff have been busy this week, making the most of the glorious sunshine and utilising the new Greentec Dyna Seeders.

Naturally there’s a focused process to seeding the greens. First a verti cut, blowing away any debri left. A close mow, followed by a pass over with the new seeders. The conclusion of the process is a Vibra roll to smooth out the putting surfaces following the seeding.

It’s great to be able to capture and document the process from Brian and his team, to keep improving and maintaining our great golf course!
