🏏 AWAY DAY AT BANBURY LIONS 🦁

The lads are back on the road this Saturday as we travel to Banbury Lions for another Premier Division fixture.

After a scorching week, we're hoping for another day of sunshine and a big performance away from home.

⚠️ Note: it's Silverstone Grand Prix weekend, so roads in the area are expected to be much busier than usual. Please allow plenty of extra time for your journey.

We're back at Maids Moreton on Saturday as we welcome Sibford CC for another Premier Division clash.

🌧️🏏 RAIN WINS THE DAY

Unfortunately our trip to Evenley ended early as the weather had the final say.

There were still plenty of positives to take from the afternoon, with some excellent bowling on display. Patrick, Binet, APG, Sri and Dav all hit their straps and kept things tight, making life difficult for the Evenley batsmen πŸ‘

Thanks to Evenley for their hospitality, and here's hoping for some drier Saturdays ahead β˜€οΈ

We are on the road tomorrow as we travel to Evenley for another Premier Division clash πŸ‘Š

A strong side is locked in, with a few fresh faces coming into the Saturday XI. Alex takes the reins as skipper this week while Chris is away.

With the weather forecast doing its best to keep us guessing, let's hope the rain stays away and we get a full day's cricket in 🀞

🏏 A BUSY COUPLE OF WEEKS FOR THE MAIDS πŸ”΅βšͺ

Our Sunday side travelled over to Ivinghoe & Pitstone CC in what we’re hoping becomes an annual fixture.

The hosts won the toss and elected to bat, but some disciplined bowling kept things under control. Finn picked up a couple of wickets, while Binet starred with the ball taking an outstanding 4-7 from 3 overs!
In reply, John produced a superb knock, bringing up his maiden half-century for the club and finishing 71 unbeaten to steer us home for the win.
A huge thanks to Ivinghoe & Pitstone for hosting us, and for the excellent teas 🍰

Then on Wednesday, we welcomed Gawcott & Hillesden CC for a T15 midweek clash.
Batting first, FCO led the way with a brilliant 61 not out, well supported by Olly.
Unfortunately, 50 extras with the ball proved costly and despite a strong batting effort, we came up short.

Yesterday saw Silverstone visit Maids Moreton in the Midweek League, and the lads bounced back in style πŸ’ͺ
Dave got us off to a solid start with 42, before an excellent all-round bowling performance restricted Silverstone’s scoring and corrected the issues from the previous week, helping us secure the win πŸ™Œ

Plenty of positives, good cricket being played, and lots more to come πŸ”₯

Great platform set by Karan, Arun and Dave at the top and Fisky adding nicely. APG became the proud new owner of the duck πŸ¦†

Posted 200, but unfortunately the rain had the final say with Banbury Lions at 98/3 🌧️

No result, but plenty of positives to take into next week πŸ‘Š
