Nippers Surf Club → Lesson Assistant → SLSGB qualification 🛟

Isaac has been coming along to our weekly surf club for years now and is super stoked on surfing

Brilliant to see him complete his first Surf Lifesaving qualification in Tube Rescue the other day at Cullen 🎉

Massive thanks to Chris from Aberdeen Surf Life Saving Club for coming through to Cullen to deliver some training and support our mentoring hours for Training Assessing in-house

It's always been really important for us to establish a training pathway from club to vocational qualifications. Stoked to see the plan come together!

Nice segment on BBC Out of Doors on Blue Lighthouse Surf CIC from our session on Thursday (starts at the 45 minute mark).

Excellent few days out of the office and into some training on the East Lothian coastline 🧗

Keeping our skills and knowledge fresh for Blue Coast training and delivery

Thursday / Friday - it was great to finally see the Ocean Vertical space in person (a very inspiring company) and do some NCC coasteer training

Saturday - Surf Life Saving GB Trainer Assessor training at Belhaven and learning about the SLSGB club structure, goals, and some of the challenges it faces

NIPPERS KIDS CLUB 2026 SEASON AVAILABILITY 🏄

☀️ We've got some exciting news to share - our popular weekly Nippers Club has new spaces for new members!

🌊 Running every Thursday afternoon from April - June and September - October, our Nippers Club focuses on promoting appreciation of our local coastline and enjoyment of surfing as a sport with kids aged 8+. It's a great way to get your child outdoors, active, and making friends - all while building sea & surf skills!

🦀 It's been awesome to see our group of Nippers progress in the water and building friendships (and the odd sandcastle) on land, and we're looking forward to welcoming new members.

SURF 'N' FUN KIDS CAMPS 🌊☀️

We are stoked to be running our summer camps again this year! Suitable for 7-15 year olds (we listened to your feedback and have opened the age range up to 7 years olds also this year), these four-day programmes are built around surf lessons, beach safety education, and fun with new friends at Cullen Beach.

What's included:
🏄 4 surf lessons covering surf skills and beach safety
🌊 Small group coaching, with an instructor to participant ratio of just 1:8
🛟 Professional instructors - all instructors have lifeguarding experience, Enhanced DBS checks, and Safeguarding training
