Mendip caving weekend 18/10/25 staying at the Wessex hut.

With Vicky, Colin, Chris and Jason

An epic couple of days beginning with some SRT into the bottom of Rhino Rift and back up.

Followed by an evening trip into GB cave to the bottom and back, which was pretty dry.

Then Sunday to Swildons cave, through sump 1, which had a couple of inches of airspace and up and down a couple of ladder pitches and some interesting wiggles to vicarage pot to look at hairy passage and back.

Some excellent caving and a great adventure with everyone.

One of our trips yesterday was a 9 hour round trip in Guiers Mort in the Dent de Crolles.

This evening we went down Skull Cap, a little known but we'll decorated cave. A long dug out crawl ends in a tight squeeze before opening up into a well decorated chamber.

Last night's club trip we explored some of the more "exotic" parts of the wider prid system. Although a bit tight in places it gives a much more varied and different trip the the classic prid.

Penultimate day, a classic Lancashire Hole trip, visiting Doubles Decker Pot and the Main Drain. A bit acrobatic at times but a fantastic bit of cave.

Today we made our way down Sell Gill Holes. A nice trip with good variation.
