It’s a big day for Buckden BC at the Bowls England National Finals 🤩

Following Alex’s win yesterday, he now plays in the last 16 of the Men’s Junior Singles at 9am - good luck Alex, keep it going!🍀

Today we also have our Juliet May, Claire Sawford, Sandra Gentle & Ali Wilson play in the first round of the Ladies Fours at 12:45pm. Wishing you ladies all the best of luck 🍀

Bowls, bbq and alcohol can only mean one thing….Presidents’ Day!!

What a great day we had on Sunday playing the Stocker Cup on Presidents’ Day 🤩

Congratulations to John Peacock, Evie Sutherland & Jorja Jackson for winning the Stocker Cup 🏆

A huge thank you to everyone who organised the day, played, spectated, prepared food, cleaned up and manned the bar 🍻🍷

They will now represent Huntingdonshire at the Bowls England National Finals at Leamington Spa 😁

Well what a day was had yesterday at the EBF finals 🥳

A huge congratulations to:

- Craig Sutherland (County Champion in the Champion of Champions)
- ⁠Juliet May (County Champion of the Ladies 2 Bowl singles)
- ⁠Sam Brugnoli (County Champion of the Men’s U25 Singles)
- ⁠Alex Brugnoli, Sam Brugnoli & Lilli Murray / Pippa (Mixed Triples County Champions)
- ⁠Alex Brugnoli and Sam Brugnoli (County Champions in the U25 pairs)
- ⁠Juliet May & Ali Wilson (Ladies’ Pairs County Champions)
- ⁠To all our winners and finalists who secured Buckden Bowls Club winning the Victor Ludorum for the 2nd time in the row (which has never been done before by us!).

A huge well done also to all of our runners-up. While the result may not have gone your way, reaching the finals is an incredible achievement in itself, and every one of you played some fantastic bowls along the way. You should all be immensely proud of what you’ve accomplished!!

A big thank you also to Sawtry Bowls Club for hosting the finals. The food & hospitality was, as always, second to none.
