Brundall parkrun

Brundall parkrun Brundall parkrun organise a free, weekly, 5km run around the Countryside park.We are open to everyone follow the road and you'll see the signs!

The course has been created on virgin agricultural land as an integral part of the new Brundall Countryside Park. It follows wide tracks around and through a plantation of 2000 trees that, on maturity, will form community woodland. It circles round the edge of a new apple orchard and 5 acres of hedged-in allotments. It has been designed primarily to encourage local people to discover the joys of p

arkrunning. The course is compact and gently undulating through four laps. We do have limited parking at the countryside park, if local we ask you to walk or cycle. There is access from Norwich via the train (Brundall gardens is closest stop)

We do ask not to park on the road leading to park and to please respect our neighbours. If car is the only option we have a limited carpark of around 60 car's which can get busy

What3words our carpark entrance is
//offer.hunt.worms. Or you can use The Ram carpark (Small walk to park)
//elections.worksheet.runways

The park is on Postwick Lane Road!

What a lovely morning for Brundall parkrun event 481! 🎉

We welcomed 124 finishers, including 32 first-time visitors and 3 brand new parkrunners. A huge welcome to:

Harrison Fenn
Elena Edwards
and Sally Batten 👋

Our visitors travelled from far and wide today - Lowestoft, Beccles, Thetford, Dereham, Cambridge, London, Reading, Northamptonshire, Huddersfield, Scotland, Finland and Australia! 🌍

There were 10 PBs too! 🎉 Congratulations to everyone who got one, including our regulars Liz P, Marianne and Janet from the Pod.

Milestones - a big Brundall congratulations to:

Kieran Brookes - 25th parkrun and first visit to Brundall
Sarika Uppal - 50th parkrun and first visit to Brundall
Caroline Ross - 50th volunteer
Linda Wynne - 50th parkrun
Robert Butler - 200th parkrun, celebrated with all the family! ❤️
Shane Eke, visiting from Lowestoft - an amazing 300th parkrun! 🎉

Shane, thank you for choosing Brundall to celebrate such a fantastic milestone. We hope you enjoyed it! 😊

And if you wondered whether James had got his dates muddled, fear not … 😂

After being told in no uncertain terms by Vikki that wearing a tutu a few weeks back was non-negotiable, James realised that his tutu perfectly matched his Great North Run fundraising top!

So today was his practice run, ready for the real thing next Sunday. We’re expecting a lot of tutu action then! 🩵

A massive THANK YOU to all of our wonderful volunteers today. parkrun wouldn’t happen without you and we really appreciate everyone who gives up their time to make Brundall happen each week.

A special thank you to Tim with the Yare Valley Churches Pod and the "parktalk" seating today. It was lovely to see so many visitors enjoying the area. 💛

Finally, good luck to all our regular and visiting parkrunners taking part in Run Norwich 10k. It was lovely to see so many Run Norwich tops out on the course today - we’ll be cheering you on tomorrow! 👏

Have a brilliant weekend and we’ll see you next parkrunday! 🌳💚

Thank you for sharing all your wonderful Run Norwich memories 😍

With the Run Norwich 10k taking place on Sunday, if you have a Run Norwich T-shirt or a charity top you've worn for Run Norwich, why not dig it out and wear it to Brundall tomorrow? We'd love to see them! 👕❤️

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who have offered their help this week. We really do appreciate you! 🙌

Tomorrow, Stuart will be your Run Director - be gentle, he might be jetlagged. The run brief will be at 8.55am, ready to start parkrun at 9.00am.

We have a First Timers Welcome volunteer, so if you're visiting us, please arrive early to have a chat with them.

🛑 Parking reminder 🛑

A little reminder about parking, as we've been having some problems recently.

The car park is small and does fill up, so please don't arrive at 8.55am expecting to find a space. We recommend arriving by 8.45am if you're driving, which gives you plenty of time to park - including making your way to the overflow car park, if needed.

Overflow parking is kindly provided by The Ram pub on The Street. 🚗

Please do not park on Postwick Lane, as this causes problems for our local residents.

If you're local and able to walk, run or cycle to parkrun, please consider leaving the car at home - or car sharing is always a great option too.

We know it's frustrating when you arrive and can't park, but with a little planning we can make sure everyone gets to the start safely, on time and, importantly, that we're considerate neighbours.

The Yare Valley Churches Pod will be with us tomorrow too, selling refreshments and providing the “parktalk” seats. ☕🪑

Have a lovely Friday evening and we'll see you tomorrow! 🌳💚

This weekend it's the return of that well-known local event - "Stu's Selfie Sunday"! 🤳

Also known as Run Norwich. 🤭

Because of this, our roster is full! Thank you very much to everyone who has offered to help on Saturday. 🌟

As it's now September, end of the summer holidays, back to school and all that, could we please ask that you might take a little peek at our roster?
