Congratulations to Jack, Alan and Walter part of the Scottish PSUK bowling team who won the home International team Championship and then went on to represent Scotland in the individual team champs as well and doing the double.

Another round completed as 16 become 8.

The big results of the round were Seafield knocking out 2nd in section 2 Buchan Park and Bankton Mains 1 knocking out Winchburgh, the only unbeaten team in the league and cup this season. They will play each other next Friday night.

Good wins for Newbridge at Bankton Mains 2 and Whitburn at home to Broxburn completes the left side of the cup draw.

On the right hand side, Mid Calder were awarded the win vs Pumpherston to put them 1 win away from the finals day on their home green, with a tough game against Middleton Hall in their way.

Blackburn were the only other away team to win last night, away at Stoneyburn. Oakbank won well against Buchan Park to set up the final quarter final clash.

another good night of bowls and good luck to all those playing in the quarter finals.

Best of luck to Scotland as they begin their campaign. Unfortunately we won't be open through the night for the Haiti match, however all are most welcome for the remaining group stage matches and, dare we wish it, the games beyond that.

Its Friday so time for another round of the Almondell Knockout Cup.

Firstly, congratulations to Middleton Hall Bowling Club who picked up a good win at home to West Calder Bowling Club 2 to secure their place in the quarter finals, and 1 win away from finals day.

Elsewhere, we have the other 7 games scheduled for tonight, with reigning holders Bankton Mains Bowling Club 2 starting their defence at home to Newbridge.
