2025… am I glad to see the back of you!
What a flipping year that was
Grateful for what I’ve managed to achieve:
Pull ups, kipping pull ups, chest to bar, weighted pull up, wall walks, double unders, handstand push ups, toes to bar, deadlifting twice my body weight, back squatting 1 1/2 times my body weight, running 5k, 10k then finishing the year with a half marathon
But also gutted for the way it turned out:
The physical pain of injury, the mental challenge it brought, having to give up teaching fitness classes, the disappointment of not being able to take part in any competitions, losing strength, gaining over a stone in weight and finishing the year having shoulder surgery whilst going through the longest rehab that’s not set to finish any time soon (and let’s not even mention the numerous box jump accidents 🙈)
I’m hopeful for what 2026 will bring, I guess I can safely say I’ll keep showing up regardless of what state I’m in! 🤣
Will it be the year of recovery…. or the year of the comeback? 2026… Let’s go! 💪🏻
