Broughton Cricket Club We are a Local Village Cricket team. We have one Saturday Team playing in County 5 NW of the Hampshi If you are keen and want to play, get in touch.

Broughton Cricket Club was first established over 100 years ago and it has formed a central part of our village life ever since. The club contains a mixture of age and ability – from raw novices to gnarled veterans and from fairly skilful players to enthusiastic duffers. What we all share is a love of the game and a determination to enjoy ourselves. The club is always on the look out for new talen

t, of whatever shape, age or size. We’d also very much like to hear from anybody who might be interested in umpiring, scoring or helping with the ground. In case anyone has concerns that we take it all too seriously, it should be said that the Club is also extremely sociable. We arrange a number of events throughout the year, both for fundraising purposes and also just for fun. There is a strong emphasis on family involvement and it is hoped there will be a number of events this year which will appeal to the younger generation. The season starts early, with weekly indoor nets at Test Valley School. If you would like to be included, or if you have any other enquiries at all, please contact the club.

Adam clemmetts Broughton welcomed Compton to Buckholt Rd for our first game of the season and a nail biter it was, Clemmetts BCC batted first and made 188, 14 year old Hugh Gray 54 and Richard Norris 55 along with Ross Richards 30 and veteran 68 year old Paddy MacWhinney coming out of retirement 13. Compton chased down our total with 4 balls left, Seb and Richard Norris taking 2 wickets each, Hugh, Stu and Adam taking a wicket each.

This weekend saw Adam Clemmetts BCC on there travels for our annual visit to Damerham, BCC batted first and made 160, 12 year old Hugh 30, Mark Dunn 21, alexa Venabubbles 13 and and big chunk of our runs coming from Fred Young 75. Clemmetts BCC were up for the fight in a game that swung more ways than Ritchy Guy, 4 wickets each for Dunn and Clemmett and 1 for Hugh saw us take the victory in a right old nail biter, the only down side was Adam not getting a hat trick when he had the chance.

With several injuries already Stu broken fingers, Ross broken ribs and Adam buttock enhancment and breast lift , we are always looking for new players.
