Chris Birkbeck Rally School was founded in 1990, and has its own private purpose built loose gravel and tarmac rally stage, as used by manufacturers' teams and our own Race and Rally teams. Our facilities are based in the fantastic building of The Arches Country House. The Rally stage is a combination of tight hairpins, fast straights, crests and corners, designed to copy the surface and pattern o
f a Rally Stage, without the the dangers of trees and thus reducing the risk of accidents and enabling you to drive quickly and confidently throughout your course. It is not an airfield where you drive around a stage comprising of cones and tyres. It is ability-testing gravel and tarmac, to give you the chance to improve your driving skills and learn rally driving techniques, in a purpose built front wheel drive rally car, on a true loose surface and tarmac surface. We have a team of accomplished instructors from the world of Rallying and Racing who will instruct you through all aspects of rally driving, from handbrake turns to Lift Off Overster which are all done with the maximum of in-car hands on instruction. We have a workshop tour included in your day so you can see all the many different sides of Rallying. Have a look around our Rally and Race cars whilst discussing your own rallying or racing ambitions. We have a number of courses available to suit Adults and Juniors, Our general rally school courses are either Full Days or Half Days, Mid Week or Weekends. All include all the Equipment, a light lunch served on site at the Arches Hotel (Adult Courses) , refreshments, a high speed passenger ride with your instructor and either 3 or 5 driving sessions with your instructor as Co-Driver. Junior Courses are (Age 11-17)
Accommodation is available on site in The Arches Country House Hotel, should you wish to finish off the perfect day. Or arrive the day before and start your day fresh with a Full English Breakfast. The Welcome, signing on, drivers briefing, lunch and de-brief are based in the Hotel which is on site and offers excellent comfortable surroundings in which to start your day, be it a Birthday, Christmas or any other type of Gift.
