This evening we managed to grab victory from the hands of defeat against Albrighton in the Furrows Cricket Shropshire Midweek League.
Albrighton batted paced themselves well to total 146 for loss of only two wickets, with main contributions being Ben Glenndinning 50 Retired not out, ably supported by Sam Wood 39 and Chris Morris 25no.
In reply we started well with Levi (10) and Finn (31) putting on 31 for the first wicket, before we lost 3 wickets for 7 runs knocking thew wind out of our sales.
Tom managed to keep the board ticking over supported by Sam and Lawrie, requiring 20 off the last over to win, Tom saw it like a beach ball scoring 16 off the first 4 balls before retiring on 50no, last scoring shot being 6 over cover – Then cometh the hour cometh the man, requiring 4 from two balls Chopper used all his experience to guide or snick one for four through slip area and the crowd went mad for us to finish on 147-7
Well done to Albrighton for the way they played the game tonight and nice message to say they loved the passion from our boys

🏏Wednesday night saw our U13 Blasters on travel away to Shifnal. It was the first T20 format game of the season and batting first we ended up finishing on Nelson from our 20 overs 111 for 8. Main contribution from James Sc making his debut and finishing with 50no. There were good contributions in spending time at the crease by Rory, Eamon and Quinn.
In reply Shifnal batted very well passing our total without losing any wickets and showing the reason why they are top of the league.

Top of the table clash against Codsall in the Furrow Cricket Shropshire Midweek League.
Codsall got off to a flyer first over before we pegged them back by takling regular wickets through their innings and reducing the visitors to 106-7 from their 20 overs.
Fielding performance was once again top drawer with highlights being worldy catches by Tom in covers and Brandon running 25 yards and taking a skier over his shoulder. Wickets shared around Brandon 2-20, Chop 2-29, Dan 1-18, Sam 1-11 and Gav 1-1 off 2 overs.
In reply we lost Sam first ball of our innings before Dan (18) and Fin (13) put 30 on for 2nd wicket putting us in a strong position before Naveed Khan turned the game in Codsalls way taking 5-13. Despite best efforts late in the innings of Chop (13), Lewis and Brandon we fell 15 runs short with nearly 3 overs remaining - Keep going lads 'Up The Pipes'

🏏🏏Today was the first Incredibal U11 league game for the Broseley Blasters, playing on Thge Stocking against Bridgnorth Jaguars.
It was great to have four boys playing their first competitive game of credit, hi-light being Bradley on debut bowling his first over and taking two wickets in two balls. Harry once again taking wicket and catch, with wicket also for Ben and a run out for James & Lewie.
In reply we ended up losing by 33 runs with positive being only losing 3 wickets, James returning top scorer with 10no.
Great team spirit shown by both sides and great to see Jack come to support his team mates even though he couldnt play with hios broken hand

Tonight we were on our travels to picturesque ground of Lilleshall in the Furrows Cricket Shropshire Midweek Cricket League.
Batting first we lost Tom early before Fin (15) and Alfie put on 70 for the 2nd wicket, Alfie finally leaving the crease retiring on 50no.
Batting at No.6 was return of the legend Gav 'The Rave' Daniel being joined soon after by Lawrie Griffiths and putting on 60 togethor before Gav falling for 22 and Lawrie carrying his bat for his highest ever score of 39no.
Despite Lilleshall starting to build partnerships we were able to take wickets at crucial times to keep the pressure on by some tight bowling and great fielding performance through out the home sides winnings.
Great to see 9 outfield fielders getting a bowl and game played in great spirit by both sides
