📢 SHOW CANCELLATION NOTICE 📢
Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow's show due to low entry numbers.
With only 33 entries received, most classes would have had just 2–3 competitors, meaning very little competition and only two classes qualifying for prize money. Unfortunately, once the costs of judges, course builders, arena staff, office staff, café staff, passport checking, and prize money are taken into account, the event would run at a significant loss.
We would also like to highlight how important it is for junior riders and their supporters to get behind the venues and competitions that are put on specifically for them. We regularly hear requests for more junior classes, leagues, training opportunities, championships, and prize money, but these can only continue if the entries are there to support them.
Venues work hard together throughout the year to avoid clashes with other major competitions and events. This weekend was deliberately chosen as a quieter weekend, with no major local championships, qualifiers, or school holidays competing for riders' attention. Despite this, the support simply wasn't there.
Running quality events requires a huge amount of planning, staffing, and financial commitment behind the scenes. Without sufficient entries, venues will inevitably have to reconsider the number of junior shows they can offer in the future.
If riders want to see more opportunities, more prize money, and more classes aimed at juniors, then it is vital that the events already being provided are supported.
As a result of the cancellation, the arena is now available for hire tomorrow and can be booked online through our website.
