With the raining to be set in for the morning I have made the difficult decision to cancel Free Parks Tennis today.

We will be back again next Saturday weather permitting 🙏

Update: Red Ball Tennis has also been cancelled 😢

🎾 ADULT RED BALL TENNIS IS HERE TO STAY!

What started as a six-week pilot at Sanders Park has turned into something we definitely don’t want to stop!

At the end of today’s session we had a chat about what happens next… and all 12 players on court today agreed – we want to carry on!

So that’s exactly what we’re going to do. 🙌

After our final pilot session on Saturday 22 August, Adult Red Ball Tennis will continue as a regular Saturday social at Sanders Park.

And we’d love some new faces to join this brilliant group.

You don’t need to know anyone.
You don’t need loads of tennis experience.
Just turn up and we’ll mix you in!

It’s social, relaxed, a little bit competitive and, most importantly, we have a lot of fun.

Our very own park lead spent another day at Wimbledon this week. This time though she got the opportunity to play.

H&W County Walking Tennis Tournament 🎾

We are delighted to announce that entries are now open for our first Herefordshire & Worcestershire County Walking Tennis Tournament, which will take place on:

🗓 Tuesday 29th September 2026
📍Cutnall Green Tennis Club
⌚10:00am – 3:00pm

The entry fee is £12.00 per player, which includes a light lunch together with tea, coffee and biscuits.

This tournament is an exciting opportunity to bring Walking Tennis players together from across the county for a day of friendly competition, fun and social tennis.

Whether players are experienced or new to Walking Tennis, everyone is welcome.

The preference for the tournament remains mixed doubles, and we would encourage clubs to enter mixed pairs wherever possible.

However, having listened to the feedback and in the interests of making the tournament as inclusive as possible, we am pleased to confirm that female pairs are also welcome to enter. Players may enter with a partner or individually.
