On Sunday 16th August, we held our annual Adult/Junior Pairs competition, with teams taking on the course in a Betterball Stableford format.
We were delighted to welcome another fantastic turnout, with 26 pairs made up of parents, grandparents and juniors enjoying a brilliant day of golf together.
This competition is an invaluable event in our junior calendar and perfectly showcases what the game of golf should be all about - bringing generations together, creating lasting memories and sharing a love of the game.
The firm course conditions certainly provided a challenge and made for some tough scoring throughout the day. While the event ran longer than anticipated, we'd like to thank everyone who took part, along with those working behind the scenes, for their patience and support. We'll take on board the lessons learned to help make future events run even more smoothly.
Congratulations to our winning pair, Josh Thorpe and his nephew Oscar Thorpe, who posted an outstanding 50 points. A huge well done also to our runners-up, Chris Chidley and his daughter Ella Chidley, who finished with an impressive 47 points.
