International Wine Day provides the perfect excuse to shed light on our rather extensive cellar. We have a long history of ensuring our members and visitors are exceedingly well catered for pre and post golf. With nearly two thousand bottles in stock, including 250 maturing for the future, our wine list is a point of pride.
Managed by our own Wine Committee, the selection is heavily biased toward French clarets. Our unique pricing structure for members adds a flat ten pounds to every bottle, meaning the better the wine you choose, the better the value you receive.
To offer a glimpse into the cellar, our committee has highlighted four specific bottles.
Chateau Beaumont 2016
This pure Cabernet Sauvignon from the Haut Medoc in Bordeaux represents a fantastic example of our core offering. It proved so popular that we acquired an entire year of supply the moment stocks began to deplete. It is available by the glass or the bottle, with the latter priced at £32.50.
Chateau Bauduc 2024
Serving as our house white, this brilliant Sauvignon Blanc is sourced directly from the estate, where we maintain a close relationship. We happen to share this exact house white with both Rick Stein and Gordon Ramsay. It is readily available at £23.00 per bottle.
Chateau Gazin 2019
For a truly special occasion, this Merlot dominant blend from Pomerol is heavily favoured by the membership. As one of our highest ranked wines, it is offered at £80.00 per bottle, perfectly demonstrating how our flat markup policy provides remarkable value on premium selections for members..
Dows 1963 Vintage Port
We always ensure a fine vintage port remains on the list. This specific 1963 classic was generously donated to the club by two of our members. It stands as a testament to the generosity within our membership and our shared appreciation for great wines.
