FULL TIME | RDFC 3–3 Tourton Turds

A game of two halves in our first match back after the winter break!

We went into the break 3–0 down after a rocky first half, but the lads showed real character to dig deep and put in a brilliant second-half performance.

Goals from Dev Ward, Andy Beck and James Robinson completed a superb comeback to earn a well-deserved draw.

Plenty of fight, quality and positives to take — a great result to kick off the return 👏

🩵Rose & Daisy FC🩷7–5 Derbyshire United - Football For Good
Charity Match – Malvern Town Football Club

A lively charity clash at Malvern Town FC saw Rose & Daisy FC come out 7–5 winners against Derbyshire United, in a game packed with goals, momentum swings, standout performances, and played in superb spirits for a great cause.

First Half

Derbyshire United struck first, taking a 14th-minute lead with a driven effort from outside the box that flew into the bottom-left corner.

Rose & Daisy FC responded well and were rewarded in the 27th minute, as Matthew Moore levelled the score with a composed, tidy finish.

Derbyshire regained their advantage in the 33rd minute after a loose pass from RDFC’s Jamie Peters was intercepted in midfield. A quick through ball released the striker, who made no mistake to make it 2–1.

RDFC came inches from equalising before the break. After a corner was cleared to the edge of the area, the center-back struck a brilliant half-volley from 18 yards that rattled off the post.

Second Half

Whatever was said in the Rose & Daisy FC dressing room worked instantly. They came out flying, and within minutes Matthew Moore fired home from outside the box to level the match at 2–2.

Moments later, Adam Richards produced a stunning top-corner finish to give RDFC their first lead of the match at 3–2.

The momentum kept flowing as Moore completed his hat-trick, rising highest to head home from a pinpoint Andy Beck corner, stretching the lead to 4–2.

Another Beck corner moments later caused chaos in the box. After a header crashed off the bar, Moore reacted quickest, poking in a left-footed effort from close range to claim his fourth and make it 5–2.

RDFC’s dominance continued when Wesley Hemming bent a beautiful 20-yard curling shot into the bottom-right corner, extending the lead to 6–2.

Derbyshire United kept fighting and pulled one back from the penalty spot after a late challenge in the box, reducing the deficit to 6–3.

But the day belonged to Matthew Moore, who grabbed his fifth goal of the match after a superb through-ball from Andy Beck. Moore weaved past two defenders before delicately chipping the onrushing keeper to make it 7–3.

Derbyshire added a late consolation, beating the RDFC defensive line with a ball over the top and finishing calmly to close the game at 7–4.

Big performance from Derbyshire United's Forward Scott Hope sealing his hat trick also.

Full-Time Summary

Rose & Daisy FC controlled possession and dictated much of the match, especially in a dominant second half. Both sides showcased quality, effort, and integrity throughout what was ultimately a fantastic event for charity.

A huge thank you to Derbyshire United - Football For Good for organising the day and hosting the match. It was played in excellent spirits and for a truly meaningful cause.

"Ian was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour in 2008 at the age of 43. He was given 2 years to live. After having brain surgery to remove part of the tumour, then radiotherapy and chemotherapy, his response to the treatment was positive. However, he stopped responding to treatment and the tumour began to grow again. Unfortunately, Ian had a bleed on the brain and took a fall at home, resulting in a broken neck. Following a brave battle, he passed away in June 2013 at the age of 48. He would've been 60 this year, so in memory of Ian, we are organising a Charity football match to raise funds for The Brain Tumour Charity" - Jason Plant (CB-RDFC)

RDFC Triumph Over Cradley Vets.

RDFC secured a thrilling 5-2 victory over Cradley Vets in their latest charity football match, demonstrating both resilience and skill on a memorable, and sunny morning of action. With contributions from RDFC’s Matt Fisher, Matt Moore, Marcus Adams, & Aid Evitts.

First Half:
The game kicked off with RDFC starting slowly. Cradley Vets made them pay when they opened the scoring with a neat little dinked finish to make it 1-0.

That seemed to wake the lads up and they gradually grew into the game, and if it wasn't for the Cradley keeper making some great saves from a 25-yard screamer from Jason Plant and a 1 v 1 from Aid Evitts the equaliser would have come sooner. Eventually the pressure paid off on the 38th minute after a dangerous cross into the box from Andy Beck, the Cradley defence seen their attempt to head the ball clear unfortunately loop over their GK. 4 minutes later after some neat play down the right side, the ball fell to Aid Evitts 2 yards out to easily slot the ball home and make it 2-1 to RDFC just before half time.

Second Half:
RDFC started the 2nd half as they ended the 1st and were looking to extend the lead early. 55 minutes in the pressure paid off and RDFC won a corner, Step up Matt Fisher to whip in a delightful cross that eluded everyone including the Cradley GK to end up in the top corner and put RDFC 3-1 up.

But the game wasn’t without drama. Matty Moore found himself on the receiving end of a yellow card midway through the 2nd half after loosing his cool and kicking out in retaliation to a foul on himself that wasn't awarded. The referee was quick on the scene and kept things under control, and Matt Moore quickly composed himself.

Cradley started to push on and tried to find a way back into the game but despite their efforts RDFC's defensive line remained resolute.

In the 71st minute a pinpoint freekick by Jason Plant was met by the head of Marcus Adams, who made no mistake in heading the ball home, making it 4-1 to RDFC.

Cradley Vets did not give up, and their persistence finally paid off in the 79th minute when they managed to get another goal with some neat counter attacking football, reducing the deficit to 4-2. Cradley looked to build on this momentum but RDFC remained in control and sealed the win in the 86th minute when Matty Moore made amends for his earlier yellow card by finding the net with a neat finish from a tight angle after his first attempt was saved well and parried back out by the Cradley GK, putting the score at 5-2.

The lads put in a great display and dug in to see the game out and get the victory they deserved.
