If you go to the gym then at some point you've been the newbie, the one who didn't know their way around the place.
It can be a daunting place to go,and is the reason that a lot of people avoid the gym. So if your one of these people and your feeling nervous about what to do,or which equipment to use then my three best bits of advice are:
1. Go in to the gym at off-peak hours. Especially for the first few times, get familiar with the space and the equipment. Have a play around and see what works for you e.g you may prefer dumbbells to resistance machines.
2. Have a training plan. Know beforehand what your going to be doing and what body part you want to work. If you don't have a plan, then it can feel even more overwhelming that it needs to be.
3. And lastly ask for help. If you don't know how to use a particular piece of equipment then ask a member of staff, even another person in the gym. We've all been the new starter at some point and asking for help is absolutely fine and you'll be surprised how helpful other people will be.
Speaking of asking for help,if you'd like help with a training plan or nutrition then send me a message and I'd be happy to have a chat 😊👍
