Kintyre Cup 2026 - Dunaverty Golf Club

The troops met early and left the clubhouse at 7am sharp. As we travelled through the wind and rain there were a few in the group regretting getting out of their beds early. However, the mood changed as we reached Dunaverty, the rain stopped and the sun came out. The wind persisted but made for good challenge on a lovely course.
With the round completed we enjoyed food and drink at the Black Bull pub in Campbeltown.
This years winner was Sam Tatts with a very impressive 38 points, 3 ahead of Sneaker and Fred.

Huge thanks go to Nicol for organising, Chris and Ray for driving and to all those that turned out for this year’s competition. It was a fantastic day.

Summer Cup 2nd Sept - Results

A tie at the top of the leaderboard with Nog just beating Fred with the better back nine. John in 3rd place. Nog came home in 29 shots for the best scratch with an excellent 66.
No winners of the lucky 2s pot, 8th hole picked.

Friday 4th Sept - Kintyre Cup 🏆
We are looking forward to playing Dunaverty Golf Club tomorrow. Please be at the clubhouse no later than 7:15am or the bus will leave without you!

Brandon Cup 30th August - Results

In a close contest Loci finishes top to win this seasons Brandon Cup. Nog in runner up spot just ahead of Bob.
No winners of the lucky 2s, 13th hole picked.

ANNUAL SUNFLOWER COMPETITION 🌻🌻🌻

Many thanks to Colin at the Banner who very kindly supplied these excellent photos 👏👏

The first picture shows Jack Popplewell receiving the prize for best in show on behalf of his brother Finn (not his mother Kirsty as previously announced!)

The second one shows the winner of the tallest sunflower, Moira Small, receiving the trophy from her brother, Club captain Nicol, who is also the brains behind this very popular event. Picture three shows Moira with her winning monster!

Who can argue with Jim Reid being awarded the b***y prize for this specimen shown in the fourth photo!?

Summer Cup 26th August - Results

Evergreen Jim Green wins this weeks round with a fine 62, two shots better than Jack (runner up) and Jim (3rd). Good to see Jim back playing in the afternoon.
Ewan wins best gross. Ewan now leads the Scratch Summer cup competition. Nicol still maintaining his slim lead over Matt D in the net.
8th hole picked as the lucky 2s hole, no winners this week.
