CIAT NEW FOREST - CANCELLED
Due to a number of different circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to cancel CIAT New Forest for this year.
Firstly, the New Forest has recently suffered several significant fires, resulting in extensive damage across large areas of the forest. Secondly, equine influenza remains prevalent within the region and, despite our requirement that all equines attending be fully vaccinated, we feel it would be irresponsible to encourage competitors to travel and drive through the affected area at this time.
In addition, many equine events across the country have struggled for competitor numbers this year. With a new AIAT GB venue being introduced on the same date and the two events being permitted to run on the same weekend, the event is unfortunately no longer financially viable.
We appreciate that this news will be disappointing and would like to express our sincere thanks to all the competitors, judges, Technical Delegates, scorers, stewards, helpers and volunteers who had offered their full support for the event. Your willingness to contribute and assist was greatly appreciated, and we are very grateful for your continued encouragement and understanding.
We hope to be in a position to welcome you back to the New Forest in the future.
