You don’t need to be a “gym person” to get stronger or fitter.

Most of the women I work with felt exactly the same:

* No confidence walking into a gym
* No idea what to do
* Starting and stopping over and over again

So they avoided it… or told themselves it just wasn’t for them.

But this isn’t a gym.

It’s your second home…
With someone who knows your name, supports you, and offers you a cuppa ☕️

Small groups (just 3-4women)
Private studio
No pressure, no intimidation

Just simple strength training to help you feel better, move better and finally stay consistent.

Manchester Marathon… I love it 🫶

There’s just something about the whole day — everyone comes together, whether you’re running or just out supporting.

The runners showing up after months of early mornings, consistency and effort… all for that one day.

So much money raised, loads of support for local businesses, and just a really good atmosphere all round.

Such an incredible achievement.

Well done to everyone who took part 👏

One thing I wish we were taught younger…

how to manage how we feel.

You might be thinking… what’s that got to do with fitness? 😂

But it affects everything doesn’t it…

Whether you show up day to day
what you eat (and when)
even why you eat the way you do

I don’t think most people struggle because they don’t know what to do…

they’re just tired, a bit overwhelmed, and trying to juggle everything at once 🧠

And when you feel like that, it’s so easy to rely on motivation…
but that’s always up and down.

It’s not always a motivation issue…
sometimes it’s just not really knowing how you’re actually feeling,
or why you’re putting things off in the first place.

Sometimes you just don’t feel up to it…
but understanding that feeling and going anyway is where progress actually happens.

Once things feel a bit more manageable, everything else gets easier.

Not perfect… just easier to stick to.

That’s a big part of what we work on in sessions.

Most people I speak to aren’t struggling because they’re not trying.

They’re going to the gym, doing classes, trying to eat a bit better…

but nothing’s really changing.

And it’s frustrating.

Usually it’s not effort that’s missing.

It’s just that everything’s a bit random.

You go in, do what you feel like, stick to what you’re comfortable with… and leave.

There’s no real structure, no progression, nothing to build on week to week.

So you end up stuck.

That’s the difference with proper strength training.

Not harder — just more thought behind it.

A lot of women say to me that their body just feels different once they reach their 40s.

And they’re usually right.

Muscle slowly declines, hormones begin to shift, joints can feel a bit stiffer and weight can sit in different places than it used to.

None of this means anything has gone wrong.

It just means the body responds a little differently now — which is why strength training, good sleep and consistent movement become even more important.

Things change a bit after 40.

The way we exercise just needs to change with it.

It’s very normal 🙂

Over 6 years of showing up.
Different seasons. Different goals.

Even with a broken wrist, Emily still trained 😅
Not because she had to.
But because training is just part of who she is now.🥳

This is what long-term commitment looks like.
Steady. Adaptable.

Not chasing motivation.
Just living a life where movement belongs.

Or does she come just for the cups of tea I’ll never know 😂

Still buzzing from the weekend 🥳

I’m so grateful to have a fantastic business mentor, , and to be part of a team I look up to dearly. Our weekly calls are always a highlight — but this weekend was something different.

The gang travelled from all over the country to come to ARCHFIT 🥹💪

took us through an incredible workshop — packed with takeaways we can implement straight away to keep improving our services.

Bonus points for sampling the best Yorkshire Tea they’ll ever drink ☕😂

And of course, our amazing .fitness joined us for a day of learning and levelling up.

Genuinely one of my favourite moments of the year.
