What a weekend at the Annual L***y Glaze Beach Tag Rugby Tournament! 🌊🏉

The Brixham Sirens & Sharks are bringing home the silverware after an incredible campaign, edging out Torbay Sharks by just one point in a thrilling final.

After coming together as one squad, we battled through a tough pool stage, topped our group, and showed what can be achieved when we play for each other. The effort, commitment, and teamwork on display all weekend were outstanding.

A special piece of Sirens rugby history was presented to Brixham Rugby Club on Thursday with the donation of the IRFU international cap of Emma Jeffries (née Yersin), daughter of Brixham rugby legend John Yersin.

A founding member of the Brixham Sirens in 1990, Emma progressed her rugby career through university, and Army before earning international honours with Ireland. Her rugby journey also took her to Australia, where she played for Drummoyne in Sydney, before eventually returning to her roots in Brixham.

The Sirens are incredibly proud of this rich history and are delighted that Emma’s cap will be displayed at the club for future generations of girls and women to see and be inspired by 🖤🤍

🚨 Fixture Update 🚨

Due to the extremely hard and cracked playing surface, and following discussions between both coaching teams, Sirens RFC and Plymouth Argaum Tigresses have made the decision to postpone our friendly fixture.

Player safety is top priority, and we feel postponing the game is the right decision to reduce the risk of injuries such as rolled ankles, swollen knees, and other unnecessary knocks ahead of the new season.

We’re all hoping for some much-needed rain so the pitches are ready and we can squeeze in one final pre-season fixture before the league campaign begins.

The Ladies kick off their 2026/27 season this coming weekend with a pre-season fixture against our friends down the road, Plymouth Argaum RFC Tigresses.

In line with RFU protocol, the match will be played under T1 guidelines to ensure the utmost player safety and wellbeing.

Join us for a fantastic day out as we head to the Tigresses, and bring the noise from the sidelines! 🖤
