We are officially inviting businesses, partners and supporters to get involved with the Sartan Golf Annual Charity Event 2026, taking place on Thursday 9th July at the outstanding Knowle Golf Club in Bristol.

Proudly sponsored by Scott Aerospace and held in aid of Alzheimer’s Society, this promises to be one of the standout golf and networking events of the summer, with over 100 golfers, guests, sponsors and business leaders expected across the day.

Originally founded over 30 years ago, Sartan Golf has grown into one of the South West’s most active amateur golf communities, focused on creating exceptional golf events, long-term partnerships and meaningful fundraising initiatives.

Roger Summers

A long-time member of Sartan Golf, Roger has been a familiar face around the group for many years and remains one of the most popular characters in the society.

Known for his good humour, competitive spirit and ability to light up any event, Roger brings just as much to the day off the course as he does on it.

And when it comes to the golf itself, Roger has a habit of producing the goods. Regularly posting big scores and finding himself towards the top of the leaderboard, he's proven time and again that he's more than capable of taking the honours on his day.

A great golfer, a great character and a valued member of the Sartan family.

Phil Groves

A long-standing member of Sartan Golf, Phil has earned a reputation as one of the group's most consistent and dependable competitors.

Never one to seek the spotlight, Phil simply lets his golf do the talking. Time and again he's shown the ability to put together impressive rounds, regularly challenging at the top of the leaderboard and proving he can compete with the very best.

That consistency has already been on display in Season ###I

Playing off an outstanding 1.3 handicap, Ryan combines elite golfing ability with one of the most decorated records in the society's history. His achievements span every major competition and reflect years of excellence at the very highest level.

The Sartan Golf 2026 season continues this Sunday 28th June as we head to one of Somerset’s finest golfing venues, Wells Golf Club

Sponsored by Dentalcare at Nailsea and proudly supporting Alzheimer's Society the fourth event of the season promises another fantastic day of golf, camaraderie and fundraising.

Set beneath the stunning Mendip Hills, Wells Golf Club is renowned for its beautiful parkland setting, immaculate course conditions and welcoming atmosphere. Established in 1893, the course offers a superb test of golf for players of all abilities, combining strategic challenges with spectacular views across the Somerset countryside.

Scott "Scotty Mac" McCarthy

If there’s one player guaranteed to bring energy, laughter and a story or two to any Sartan event, it’s Scotty Mac.

A true character of the group, whether it's on the first tee, during the round or long into the post-event celebrations, Scotty Mac is rarely far from the centre of the action.

But don't let the banter fool you.

A serial performer across Sartan events, Scott has built a reputation for regularly featuring among the prizes, collecting more than his fair share of nearest the pins, twos and podium finishes over the years.

And 2025 saw him come agonisingly close to adding another major honour to his collection:
