Bristol Canoe Polo Pitch

We have a new Committee for 2022 to run the Bristol Canoe Polo Pitch. Mark Gillett has taken over from Dave Ingerslev as the new Chairperson and James Sheader has taken over the Treasury role from Simon Pearson. The Committee would like to extend its gratitude to both David and Simon for the valuable contribution in building this facility.

Important consultation about redeveloping the area where the pitch is located. If you have used the pitch then please respond to the consultation to highlight its importance as there will be major works to the swing bridge in all scenarios and please share this post.

In your response please tick both:
- I visit a club or sports group in the area
and
- I use the area for exercise/recreation

Also please specify the sports group as "Bristol Canoe Polo Pitch" to match what Google searches and maps will show.

Welcome Avon on Sundays! Contact them if you want to join their session.

Sunday sessions are moving outdoors for June, July and August so come take advantage of the bigger pitch!
Sessions will be 7pm to 8.30pm on the outdoor pitch in the Cumberland basin (see attached map - go to BW cycling then cross the small bridge to the island by the locks). First session is this Sunday 2nd June.

We're getting ready for a busy Spring and Summer of polo at the pitch!

If your club wants to make a booking, check our calendar at http://www.bristolcanoepolopitch.org.uk/calendar which we've just updated with all the harbour operations from April to October.

We're going to be asking for help making some improvements to the pontoon and storage container - we'll post up as soon as we have a date, get your DIY skills ready!
