We are all truly gutted and saddened by hearing about the passing of Sensei Errol. A painful and heart breaking time๐ a heart wrenching moment having to find the right words... but as Wanida, his wife mentioned, time now to say our goodbye's ๐ญ
Our Prayer and Farewell to a True Sensei.
As we gather our thoughts and steady our hearts, we offer this blessing to a truly great man โ a gentleman, an exceptional Sensei, a loyal friend, and a legend in the art of Karate.
Sensei Errol, as you come to this solemn stage in life, where your journey is now over, we stand with you in spirit as you have laid down your Gi for the final time.
Though our hearts are heavy, they are equally full โ full of gratitude, respect, and love for all that you have given.
Life in your company has been a privilege and a pleasure. Your teachings will forever echo in our minds and in our practice โ especially your timeless challenge: โWould you fight like that on the street?โ A question that shaped not only our Karate, but our character.
You have been more than a Sensei to us. You have been a mentor, a guide, a colleague, and a friend. A life member of WKF Bristol, and a cornerstone in the lives of so many who had the honour to train under you.
We pray now that you are at peace and free from discomfort. May your journey ahead be gentle and smooth, a calm transition from this world to the next. Though we are not yet ready to follow, we take comfort in knowing that one day, in Godโs time, our paths will cross again in the dojo in the sky.
For there are few certainties in life, but one is this โ that we shall meet again.
Until that day, Sensei, we thank you, we honour you, and we carry your legacy forward in all that we do.
With the deepest respect and love, goodbye my friend.
