UoB Muay Thai Society

Muay Thai is one of the most effective striking arts on the planet, the pride of Thailand and the bane of all flashy fighting styles; Thai boxing is rapidly growing in popularity across the globe as it continues to make waves in the ring with its efficiency and no-nonsense technique. Our classes have something for everyone, from the complete beginner to the expert, for thos

e wanting to become seriously involved or those just wanting to get fit. For those who want to take it further and want to try fighting, or have experience already in fighting, we have a small team of fighters. We host a couple of interclubs, and attend interclubs at local clubs in Bristol as well as interclubs at other universities in the country. Just a reminder, training is off tomorrow due to the Interclub taking place at PCT gym.

We have some fighters from our society fighting - we’d appreciate it if you came down and gave us your support!

As a reminder for those with a booking, the Saturday (02/10/21) session will be in the Carpenter room in the Richmond Building from 5-7.
The Sunday (03/10/21) taster session is available for booking on the SU website. If you weren’t able to book the Saturday session/ can’t attend on Sunday, we will be having 2 more taster sessions the following weekend.

COMMITTEE APPLICATION NOW LIVE!

I know its in the middle of exam season, and you all probably have other things on your mind, but if you are interested in running for a role within the Muay Thai committee then please do so now!

We hope to make up for this years washout, and be back with fun regular classes of people of all abilities next year.

please remember to run for a role you must currently be a member of the society. our membership costs £10 and due to the COVID situation all memberships have been extended into next year.
