Cleeve Hill Tennis Club We are a well established, friendly tennis club in Downend, offering three floodlit courts and a dedicated clubhouse.

We are a well established, friendly tennis club in Downend, offering two all weather, floodlit courts with a friendly clubhouse and bar. Currently serving a membership of over 100 people. We offer adult and junior tennis coaching at various abilities, as well as social and competitive tennis. We run six mens teams as well as three ladies teams in summer league as well as teams in winter league and veterans leagues. The club is located in Downend, Bristol and has been running since the late 1920's and we are proud of our history. We have a very well run club with well over 100 members of all ages and abilities with a friendly atmosphere. We run many club tennis events such as mixed doubles, mens and womens tennis along with the usual club play. We have frequent social events for all occasions as well as catering for private parties.

Karen & Alex attended the Avon Tennis League Presentation Evening to collect our silverware!

The 1st team won Div 2A of the 2024 Summer Mixed League and the 3rds won Division 5A of the 2024/5 Winter League.

Well done to all who played and represented the club.

Hello members, the club is intending to start a ladder league in place of the box leagues that have run for the last couple of years. This should remove the time pressure of playing a number of matches in a fixed period.

It will be a continuous league in which players can challenge anyone up to 5 places above them. The match will have to take place within two weeks (holidays etc allowing) and if the challenger wins they take the higher place.

More details will be provided in the near future and hopefully we can get it up and running by September. In the mean time if you are interested in taking part please let Jon know, either on whatsapp (07549191046) or by email:[email protected].

With injuries, new babies and all sorts of reasons to change our teams we’ve finally made it to the end - with lots of great memories.

Well done to Captains Daniel Jukes & Alex Lambert for getting us through.

Special mention to Alex who turned out week after week building and supporting the teams despite breaking her foot 😢
