In 2010 the Bristol ski and snowboard clubs merged to create the mighty University of Bristol Snowsports Club (UBSC). Together we've become the home of all things snow in the uni scene!! SPORT: we're proud to be a UoB Performance Sport giving us unparalleled access to facilities and training for anyone who wants to join our core membership. From beginners to international pros, we've got amazing o
pportunities in the UK and the Alps for everyone to get involved in racing, freestyle or just hitting the piste. Not only that, get stuck in and you'll be joining a brilliant bunch of like-minded mates for life! TRIP: we run the biggest trip by a single uni (1648 of us in 2017, to be specific). It's not just a ski trip - it's a complete festival on snow, a Bristol rite of passage and the envy of other unis! And given it last sold out in 73 minutes, it's just not to be missed. From world-class DJs and live acts to mad day parties on the snow and even husky riding, this is our week for the making. SOCIAL: we're all about work hard play hard. We get together each week for socials and are always looking out for new members. But there's so much more - big sports nights, collabs with huge promoters like Cirque Du Soul, formal dinners like the legendary Snow Ball and of course post-competition curries. In 2016 we launched Bristol Snow Presents, our late night brand for only our biggest events: top quality production, amazing artists and incredible collaborations. So come down and say hi - snowsports socials have a reputation for a reason! INITIATIVES: we want to leave Bristol and beyond in a better way than we found it. That's why we prioritise financial accessibility, have taken meaningful action on inclusivity, support the work of amazing charity partners like SnowCamp and are transforming the snowsports scene with our commitment to protecting the environment.
