The Senior Rugby Dinner was held on Friday, bringing together 180 staff, parents, and pupils to celebrate an enjoyable and successful season. We were delighted to welcome Jake Heenan, Bristol Bears’ dynamic back-rower, as our guest of honour. He kicked off the evening with an inspiring speech that set the tone for the awards ceremony.

The evening continued with heartfelt speeches from the captains and coaches of the U16 B & A teams, the 2nd XV, and the 1st XV, reflecting on the highlights of their season.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended the dinner, with special appreciation to our guest of honour, Jake Heenan, for making the evening so memorable.

To all the players who proudly wore the QEH jersey last season, your dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed—thank you for everything you’ve given to the team.

Finally, to our Year 13s: your incredible journey with us has come to an end. It’s been an unforgettable ride, and we’re so grateful for all you’ve contributed. Thank you, boys—it’s been a blast!

The inaugural 'Dave Perkins Memorial Game' was a great success, with a strong Bristol Schools XV just pipping QEH 1st XV 12-17 in a thrilling game that went right down to the wire.
A big thank you to everyone who came along to support the event.
We look forward to growing this event in future years

This thursday evening we have the inaugural 'Dave Perkins Memorial Match' up at Failand, in which our 1st XV will be taking on a Bristol Schools XV.

Dave was the Father of Bristol Rugby back in the day, known by all across the city. He sat on every board (was chairman of several) and was an ever presence on the touchline, ready to give his analysis to anyone who would listen post match at the bar

It is such pleasure to host this game in his memory. Hopefully the first of many.....

All are welcome to come and watch.

This year’s OE Touch Rugby Social was another great success, with 11 teams taking part including OEs, current students, Old E’s RFC and a parent team.

Every team played 3 preliminary games before being ranked 1 - 11, with the top 4 teams going through to the Cup semis, 5-8 going through to the Shield semis and 9-11 through to the Bowl.

A huge thank you to all who took part this year, and to the parents, colleagues and friends who kindly helped with the BBQ, bar and refereeing.

Here's a highlight video of our incredible rugby tour to South Africa this summer.

35 students & 4 staff headed off to Pretoria, White River, Kruger and Johannesburg for a 2 week epic adventure, playing 5 tough matches along the way.

In between playing we enjoyed a vast number of excursions and visits including to the Lion & Safari Park, Loftus Versfeld Stadium , Chimp Eden, game drives in Kruger, Croc & Reptile Park, a tour of Soweto, Sun City and the Apartheid Museum.

Many of you OEs will have your memories of touring with school, for some of you it may even have been your QEH career highlight!

It is a privilege and an honour to keep these tours running and to give as many students who are fortunate enough to go on them the opportunity to experience these amazing adventures.

Time to start planning the 2026 tour!

It’s time again to dust the boots off for the annual touch tourney!
Each year needs a squad of 10 minimum to enter - as fewer ringers as possible!

Our U13 and U14 VIIs teams have been in action this weekend.
Well done to the U14s who narrowly lost in the Bowl Semi Final at the West of England 7s, and congratulations to the U13s who won the Bristol Schools 7s.
Both teams played some great 7s and did QEH proud! 👊
